Took these a while back up at the Ridgeway. I reckon the S60 looks best at rear-3quarter view.

and any excuse for one of these smile

oh yes they do yes They rub on the inside of the arches - on the plastic bit. Turning circle is awful, so I've got used to making that noise a lot!

My volvo also comes with the complimentary suspension knocks and rumbles which no dealer / specialist can locate. Apparently a "feature" of the larger wheels and sports chassis. Also the alight negative camber on the front wheels means that they wear unevenly. Although I've been told it makes for better handling - which makes sense I guess.

But, on the plus side, they finish off an S60 better than any of the other wheels. I need to get mine refurbed though - they're not quite as shiney now as when those pics were taken!

i had a t-5 before but prefaclift shape and standard 17 inch wheels, now i got this one, all my friends think this one looks the dogs bollx pity nobody on pistonheads thinks the same with all their mx5's! i actually clean the wheels almost everyday and think they look amazing. i have no problem with suspension, i always keep it on sport setting, the soft setting makes the car float too much i think. the turning circle is crap on these cars i have taken the s60 to a lot of tunnel runs too and now done 98,000 miles in less than 3 years in it. i have CLS on order but rather than sell the volvo this one is for keeps.

Interesting you mention the CLS, because I think they are quite a similar style to the S60. Kind of coupe shape but with 4 doors if you see what I mean? Quite like them too.

Mine's a pre-facelift T5. Have often considered changing to a later model with the FOUR-C settings, perhaps even an R, but I've lost so much money on this one, I can't bear to lose it all over again!

Hopefully your CLS won't depreciate so quickly!

signia, old car was t.5 se bought for about 27k, sold it for 7k after 3 years
this one bought for 24k i think, now worth about 5k with the mileage, but what a handsome car it is, pictures dont do it justice IMO, the car gets admiring glances everywhere i take it and i can beat most beemers and audis off the line too

cls has guaranteed future value in 2 years time of £25k which is a bit pessimistic i think. the s60 though has every single gizmo in the car except dvd and park assist that the cls has
the cls though is cheaper to buy than the s60, 490£ a month vs £650 a month for the s60, figure that one out!

probably just down to depreciation I guess. I noticed when I was looking to change. Whilst a D5 V70 holds its value well, a T5 S60 won't at all.

I might get mine rica'd at its next service and give it a bit more life. But I've only done 40k miles in it and it's 4 years old. I can't lose much more on it. When I come to change it I'll probably go for a 735d or A8 a few years old. Going on the figure you just said, the CLS might be within range by then biggrin
