Thanks both, yes the boost pack was the first thing I noticed , I got a battery for my V70 for around £70 I think so not too fussed about that.
Not bothered about how it looks either, love shedding in that regard but do want it to be mechanically sound as I would like to waft about in it for some years.
I did crack up at the comments on mpg, I wasn’t aware the S80 was able to defy the laws of physics
Will see what the seller comes back with...

All the right things have been attended to. Still important to check the autobox is healthy, notwithstanding the atf change (check what that means - a 2.7L drop and fill is a lot less impressive than connection to a full change machine). But if it's all as it seems then that's a car that will run for another 130k, and for say 2k, it's a decent buy - yes you can buy cheaper, but not necessarily better.

Nice looking car that.
All I'd be worried about is the gearbox. Check for more details on that. If the seller doesn't know too much, see if you can take it for a long drive, get it properly up to temp and then see how it shifts. Try low speed and giving it some beans. Basically try all use cases of it and see if it shifts cleanly. If so, then go for it! It'll be a decent car I imagine.

Small resurrection to say it's time for mine to go after 8 years and nearly 100K in my hands. I'm now home-based and a train commuter one day a week and have just picked up a Panda 4x4 as a runabout because the S60's wasted doing nothing in between 3-mile journeys
Still plenty of life in a properly-maintained S60 Euro 3 D5 Manual SE, mind, were anyone to feel the need

Please email me about it! It might fit my needs! I recall you giving some helpful advice on the shed thread about them. Still plenty of life in a properly-maintained S60 Euro 3 D5 Manual SE, mind, were anyone to feel the need
