I've got half a gallon of unused nitro fuel thats probably 5 years old. How likely is it to still be useable?

I really want to fire up the IC powered Elise I got down from the attic, but it'll be the weekend before I can get to a model shop to buy some fresh!

I've never had a problem with fuel that is years old as long as the container has been airtight and kept cool. I recently used some fuel I bought in 2005 I think and it ran fine.
A lot of people will tell you it absorbs moisture (which it does) and never use it if it is more than 6 months old.
Just check that is it still clear and maybe filter it if it has got any debris in it.

Don't forget to give it a good shake first to mix the oil back in.

Worked just fine! The clutch won't engage though so something is amiss with it. Weekend stripdown required I reckon.
