After discovering this topic a few weeks back I've been eyeing up various different models. Almost went for the VW Campervan but saw that the local Argos had one in stock finally brought this this afternoon:
Started building it this evening and really impressed with the detail and quality of it,especially the engine and gearbox/differential and rear suspension:
Spent about 3 hours on it so far and its looking good, hoping to get it finished off tomorrow but might have to wait until the weekend.

OK, small update now a few of you are mentioning the new LMP Car.
As you can imagine Christmas is a fairly busy time for us. This year was exceptional and our LEGO stocks took an absolute pasting. We normally carry BIG stock of approx 450-500 different lines (full range and then leftovers of previous year), at the moment we have limited stock of 132 lines!!!
To let you in the loop a little bit. LEGO's main launches are Jan & Aug, so come mid Dec LEGO turn all their efforts into Launch orders and put standard replen orders on the back burner. So.....I have a ridiculous amount of stock on order sat in their warehouse but they wont send it until all the new stuff is out the door. So in about 10days or so all the usual suspects will come back into stock, and over the next 2 weeks I have stock of all 110 new lines arriving.
As for the 42039 LMP Car. These were ordered back in September and I put down a lot assuming you guys would want some. However it seems that LEGO have been reducing orders due to large demand. Anyway I spoke with LEGO this morning requesting my full order and it seems they will do it - however I wont be happy until I see the official paperwork come through (couple days before delivery to me).
So, I am completely happy to do something for you, however as I dont wish to let you down I suggest we play it by ear until I get full confirmation of whats arriving. When I have confirmation I can whip up the deal and get it on the website for you within a matter of hours - so it shouldn't cause any great delays.
I should be getting stock between the 20-25th. I will know more in the WC 19th.
In the meantime I will speak with Podie and look at getting a list or something put together like we have done in the past to get an idea of interest....
