"Here lies fatboy69, may he rest in peace with his uncompleted Lego toys" biggrin

Get them built, you may as well not own them if they are left in their boxes?

Sorry for being quiet on this one chaps, I'm just struggling to get an absolute final date for delivery. For some reason be it a popular product or LEGO producing less units this kit has been hard to get hold of...

My original order quantity (a lot) was reduced by Lego to not very many as it was allocated across accounts (not enough to cover all the PH requests). I kicked up a fuss and had my original QTY honoured but was told the bulk would be delivered a couple days later. Thus far delivery should be for the end of next week/Monday following week (I will definitely be getting some....)

BUT before I go and get you all too excited I want to be 100% confident that the full QTY will arrive. Just give me a couple days and I'll be able to get a document from LEGO confirming what's on the lorry. Once I have confirmation I can turn it round very quickly and get something on the website in a matter of hours....so don't panic...

Keep an eye on the thread and the email address you used to contact Podie.

Cheers.

P.s I'm going to see LEGO next week and will get to see the next big sets for August launch!!!

Am going to have to get one of these - the last Technic kit I did was 8865, the Test Car, which was back in '88 or '89! eek

Are you me!

Having just been building with my 6 year old daughter (friends range) its amazing to see how its moved on and still a massive fan. My last biggie was also 'Test Car' but also had the original 8860 'Car Chassis' which was the epitome of technic at the time.

As much as I'm a fan is it acceptable as a 36 year old male to build a kids toy with no other excuses on tap!?!

As I always say - you have to grow old; you don't have to grow up!

Agree completely. Remember buying that one new with hard earned/saved pocket money from Argos in Wilmslow. Still have it...

Absolutely. Age range should be stated as 10+ or 9 - 90. (My slightly hungover memory is suggesting that there was a Lego set with 9 - 90 (or something similar) as the age range at some point. Anyone else remember that?)

Is there a good Lego Technic swap service?

I'd like to swap the Lego Technic Rescue Helicopter 9396 with another complete set, preferably something with wheels. It's a big set so something equal in parts.
