Yer, me too. And the Crane, and a Recovery Truck. Damn Amazon suggestion thing at the bottom. I did save £311 though!
Did you just use female shopping logic on PH?!?
I think it's allowed if you're buying toys. laugh Though I stand by to be corrected. readit

What’s this?
As with previous Technic Lego group buys, we offering a similar group buy with the forthcoming Sets (42043, 42042 & 42040.)

Sounds great, what's the deal?
We're hoping to offer up 20% off the RRP Prices (Similar to last year). Anyone outside of the UK please let us know and we can look at shipping quotes. No commitment is required at this point, but we would ask that if you really have no intention of parting with money, please don't put your name down.

This is a deal for PHers only - anyone who has been a member of the forums for 6 months or more can join this group buy.

When does the set come out?
The set is officially launched in August, with deliveries arriving at the end of July. If all goes to plan delivery for Launch day should not be a problem.

When do I have to part with my hard earned cash?
A much loved PHer (well, for us Lego fans!) happens to own a shop and sells LEGO Technic - you are buying directly from him. In the next few days he will send an email and you can make the purchase via his website. We ask that you do not forward the deal on to anybody else, if it ended up on a deal website all stock would be exhausted within minutes and us PH'ers would lose out.

OK, I’m in! How do I register interest?
If you signed up last year we already have your email address on file, so there is no need to send it again.

If not, Just send an email to – technicgroupbuy@gmail.com - and remember to include:

1) Your PH name
2) Your real name
3) Your location if outside UK mainland

42043 - Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245

42042 - Crawler Crane

42040 - Fire Plane

bounce the Volvo arrived! And it's.... huge! Well, the box anyway. Had a peek inside, quite impressed - although I can see why some get irked about the more unique pieces, certainly the last set I acquired (half a lifetime ago, might have been go-kart 8225, sure I had 8207 too among others) had less bespoke content. Pleased the sticker count is low. The bad news, it won't be built for some time (various tedious reasons) but I'm looking forward to it, and at least I've got hold of it this time (missed out on the Unimog).

Excellent, hopefully I'm going to go for the crawler crane (even though it doesn't look as good as the 8288 crawler crane they did in 2006) and the truck smile

The 8288 is OK I have one built from pieces purchased from brickowl etc. The tracks are the small ones so 42042 will fit in better with 8043, 42006 and 8275

I'm thinking the crawler crane, the merc truck doesn't offer too much new compared to other recent models for me.

Looks terrific mind you, which obviously means I can't promise I won't buy one!

Yes I have to agree.. but I have succumbed to the Merc truck.. So my orders in..! Just hope it's not a another Unimog in disguise which to be fair will be hard to follow but I hope they have put a bit more into it..!

Part of me thinks the same.

Another part of me thinks it will make an epic pair with the Unimog...

Bugger.

These are great offers but I wish Lego would go back to their supercars, I'm not so into the commercial stuff.

Walle though, I'll be all over that one!

I'm out this time round, none of them really interest me. The Merc looks like a unimog rehash, the crane is ok but looks a lot like a cross between the digger and the big crane and the plane I'm just not worried about.

I'm in for wall.e though. And Dr. Who when that becomes available.

Crane ordered. The truck is too close to the Unimog and I managed to get that on eBay a few months back.
