Yes, you're quite late buying presents! It's a decent set. Has been discounted quite a few times this year so try not to pay the full RRP.

Small plane £8, Couple of 'pull-back' sets for £18 each, Go-cart £25, Top-fuel dragster £50, Heavy plant loader for £30 & there is a rescue helicopter out on Thursday which is the most expensive at £99. About £250 for them all. Liverpool still had Gingerbread houses so I picked up 3 by buying in £60 lots. Sold them all in the 30 minutes it took to get back to the hotel so should clear about £60 towards the new sets

Cargo plane for £70 is an excellent price. Good build and good size model too!

Has anybody built the pick up truck? It is £30 in Smyths should RRP at £69.99, infact it is £69.99 in Toys R us. I think for £30 quid its got to be worth picking up.

I might pick up the race truck thou as I think it looks great.

I enjoyed building the pick up truck. Sometimes the smaller sets seem more fun to build to me

Finished the Arocs yesterday after starting it last weekend. Wasn't expecting to enjoy the build as much as I did. Previously nothing has beaten that first build I did after deciding is buy the Unimog and spending a few nights on that, but the Arocs was even better and is a fantastic finished model.

Had no intentions of buying it either, until my previous transgressions came back to bite me and Russy included me on the group buy email.

I know I'm a bit behind the times here, but I've only just got round to building the 8110 Unimog set and have a question regarding the wheels, as I think my one has the wrong ones!

All the pictures I've seen of the model (including the ones on the box, in the instructions etc.) seem to depict wheels that are different from the ones that were included in my (new and unopened) set. My ones have a different spoke design and have six studs opposed to the three-stud design I've seen everywhere else. They seem to be the same size and colour, though. According to the instructions, the wheels should be part number 4211845, but this isn't what I have. Just wondering if someone else has the same as me and if the wheels were changed between early and late sets or something? Below is a picture of my actual truck with its weird wheels. hehe

In other bad LEGO news, the build is on hold as the one long dark grey 15-hole beam thing was snapped in half in the unopened bag. Have contacted LEGO and they're sending a replacement! biggrin

Yes they're different from mine - maybe you've got a rare set with strange wheels that's consequently worth a small fortune... wink

They're the same as on mine - bought 2nd hand from ebay though so no guarantees they're original

Looking at a parts checker, the original design is shown as ending in 2011 so they may have quietly updated it for later production. Can't find any other references to that, though.

What do they look like if you turn them round?
