well the UniMog build is going well although I have to say it is not my favourite build (that would still have to be 8421 or 8547), as someone mentioned earlier - there are a lot of custom parts on this model!

Have finally finished the Unimog - I really like it although I wish the stabilisers on the back we're powered.

Now to resist buying more.......

Here is my two Lego Technic Ferraris. 8647 Ferrari F1 and 8653 Enzo Ferrari, they are mounted on the walls in the staircase. Recently found the Enzo during a house move so cleaned it up and added it next to the F1.

Apologies about the rubbish photo

I had a load of technic as a kid, and amongst the models I was supposed to build, I liked to do random scratch builds too, one I can remember was a Lotus 7 / Morgan style car. It looks like it would be hard to do the same now...

The F1 is a lot better than the Enzo. It has proper suspension and a lot more detail than the Enzo.

There is an F1 on fleabay for £180.00 with an Enzo being offered for £140.00 without instructions (it has already been built) & another one being offered for £150.00!!!

Think i will give them a miss for now.

Anyone had a go of this cad program? http://staff.polito.it/sergio.reano/ looks good, not had a chance to have a full go of it yet myself. Think it will take a lot of thinking to make something half decent on it.

Slightly off topic but just read that Lego are releasing a 1962 VW T1 Camper Van.
Not Technic Lego but definitely going to buy this.

Information from Lego:
"This set is an officially Volkswagen licensed representation of one of the most iconic vehicles ever made, and we couldn’t be more excited about it."

10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
Ages 16+. 1,322 pieces.
US $99.99, CA $129.99, DE €99.99 , UK £79.99 , DK 799 DKK, available from October.

This authentic camper van is a replica of the classic Volkswagen Camper Van from 1962. Every iconic feature is here! On the outside, the terrific detailing includes 'V' shape three-way color split at the front, rounded roof and window frames, opening 'splittie' safari windshield, opening doors, iconic pop-up roof with textile curtain surround, roof rack, rear side air intake vents and lots more! The detailing is equally impressive on the inside, from the authentic VW air-cooled flat four cylinder boxer engine, front cabin bench seat, gear stick, angled dashboard and iconic spherical speedometer, to custom LEGO® features like folding rear bench seat, folding dinette table, closet with mirror and even a painting!

•Features 11 windows, authentic plaid-print textile curtains and wing mirror!
•Rear door opens to reveal detailed engine!
•Interior also features rear bench seat that transforms into a bed, ‘Make LEGO Models, Not War’ T-shirt and rear shelf with plant!
•Measures 11.8" (30cm) long and 5.5" (14cm) high!

Here is a link to a YouTube video showing the model being explained by the designer.

Lego have one called Lego Digital Designer, think you can even send off the results and get the set sent back to you.
