From what I can see, it has front and rear inboard suspension, working cylinders and a shaft-driven rear wheel. Pretty much the same level of technic-ness as most other Lego Technic motorbikes.

I like it, nice old-style Lego feel to it and interesting details.
Yup, only downside i can think of is that compared to 42007 or 42036, all the extra money/parts (€20-10 difference) went into cosmetic stuff rather then real functional stuff. Understandable for a licensed set (the Ferrari Enzo and 599, and porsche GT3 are no different, they have functionality nonlicensed sets half their cost have + cosmetics)

just built the space shuttle, guess its been in the loft in pieces for best part of 15 years, the cables are very brittle and some of the insulation has actually come off now, i know you can get them ebay etc but they haven't been made for sometime now due to the difference in connectors and motors, any places people know that make replacement type ones before i try to open the connectors and solder new leads in.

I just started building the Mercedes truck and discovered I'm missing a part from the section of bags 1, stole one from bag 5 but will be one short at the end. Anyone know how long the replacement part service takes to deliver?

Part: 6073231

You might get one of those spare in a later bag. Keep going for now. Lego can take a couple of weeks to get a missing part out.

As you know the pn. Bay might be your best option short term smile i know it's beside the point as it shouldn't be missing but spares are always useful to have anyway

Are you certain it isn't there? I lost count of the times I thought a part was missing only to then find it hidden beneath something else when i was sure i'd individually looked at every single piece remaining.

+ 1.. done that so many times and then find the part in the corner of a bag or realise i've used the wrong part earlier in the build,to date i've never had a kit with a part missing..

The desire for the Porsche disappeared when I saw it in orange and it looked worse than it did in the cammo livery. But, we are in New York and I walked into a Lego shop and saw it, and discovered it is at least twice the size I thought it was, feeling the need for it badly now!

Positive, a little OCD but I open all the numbered bags for the section and organise into a lot of individual tubs. I've got to the end of section 1 and there is very little leftover for it to get lost with, so I checked all the empty bags that were returned to the box.

It may be a cat got a hold of it, but that would normally make a much bigger mess than a single piece missing. Ordered 4 and worked out at just over 25p each including postage.

Brickowl or Bricklink for a replacement. You will wait an age for LEGO to replace it. They always do but its not quick.

My part arrived from bricklink yesterday, finished the build today I really did enjoy the Mercedes truck build.

I wasn't left with any spare of the part I was missing, so definitely a single piece short.

Well, I'm unimpressed......

The BMW bike is about the only one there that interests me, Hopefully the second half of 2017 would be better

100% of the money will go to charity - depending on location I could even consider delivering the item (or at least meeting halfway).

At present, my best option is to raffle the set with tickets for say £2.50 each and hope we get 60-80 tickets sold, so that the charity gets £150-200, but I'm not sure whether there will be sufficient demand at a local church fete (not sure many people will appreciate this is a £200+ Lego set).

Sidicks.
Last chance, is anyone prepared to offer £125-£150 for this set (to include delivery)?

The full amount will be donated to charity!

I think those are nice sets actually, they're more toys than models for adults which technic seems to be turning into.

I like the majority of the sets too, especially like the container truck and lift set.

The point about the toys is very valid. I buy the sets as models but my children play with them and these have lots of playability.

Certainly going to get the one I mentioned.

Does anyone have the code that is around somewhere, possibly on Facebook, for 20% off selected Lego items.

Apparently the Bucket Excavator can be purchased for £149.99 this week - if I can find the code.

I can't find it anywhere of my Facebook feed so if anyone can assist I would be grateful.

It wasn't a code - assuming you mean from shop.lego.com, at least. Certain sets were marked down by 20% for their Black Friday promotion.

I've got a feeling it finished last night though.
