My GT3 RS arrived today in the original Lego packing box with an immaculate set box inside.
I've had a quick look and got far more excited than someone my age should over the book biggrin

Can't wait until Friday when I start the build.

Just a heads up.
Anyone still after an Mercedes-Benz Arocs 42043, Tesco got them back in stock at £124, and if you order online (and use your Clubcard when shopping) you usually have a load of little E Vouchers that you can apply making it even cheaper. Ended up being under £100 for me :-)

I made the rookie mistake of mentioning it to the other half...

...I won't be buying one frown

Cheers for that ..Was going to get it from John lewis but the price has gone back up and still out of stock Hope is doesn't turn up being kicked around the warehouse like the Claas Tractor did (torn box as mentioned by others ).. the GT3 and deep bucket excavator on the same order were boxed together with air bags and survived the kicking ..thank God ! angel
I'm picking mine up from Tesco - are they renowned for being ste on store collection too ? - never done it b4

Started my GT3 and just noticed the time. Oops!
Hope this is going ok for you?!
Hi Sidicks, going well so far, just haven't had the time yet to do much! biggrin
Finished yet?!

I think the Porsche code on the dashboard should still work, as I didn't use it myself, knowing that I planned to sell the set on.

Glad some of you got the Tesco offer, its now out of stock.

For those asking, Tesco seems to have improved on the packaging, mine was pickup from store and came very well wrapped in chunky bubble wrap and a big sealed plastic bag. Better than last year when you would just got a bare bashed about box.

I have biggrin I don't think I can easily post a pic from my phone, but needless to say it's awesome. My Wife asked if I'd now be selling it but I have declined biggrin

I tried the code but it's mostly just pc and phone backgrounds.

Although I had been very careful, I'm pleased that all the pieces were present and you thought it was worth the money!

Picked mine up today, decent packaging but still a small dent in the box. Doubt I'll be parting with it though so not a problem for me.

Looking forward to the build and then subsequently terrorising the cats with it.

Would love that excavator, never thought the size of a Technic set would stop the purchase.

The box for the Excavator is very big & quite heavy.

I have had to hide mine in the back of a cupboard in the spare bedroom so that SWMBO doesn't see it.

I will bring it out in a few months & pretend that it has been in the cupboard for a couple of years & I forgot it was there.....

At £135 I'm sorely tempted to buy a second Excavator to have the A and B model on display at the same time smile

I've been having the same thoughts, but I know the trouble I would get into, our guest room is turning into a Lego store.

I keep being reminded that use of my one year old son's playroom for Lego is not allowed, due to choking hazard-ness of small bits, apparently. Selfish little git.
