At £135 I'm sorely tempted to buy a second Excavator to have the A and B model on display at the same time
I've been having the same thoughts, but I know the trouble I would get into, our guest room is turning into a Lego store. And I've just orderd the Excavator for £135...!

Just a heads up.
Anyone still after an Mercedes-Benz Arocs 42043, Tesco got them back in stock at £124, and if you order online (and use your Clubcard when shopping) you usually have a load of little E Vouchers that you can apply making it even cheaper. Ended up being under £100 for me :-)

This is my first lego in about 45 years! Prompted by reading articles here.
We are moving to Ireland in a few weeks so will save this for once we are settled over there
I posted in the other thread but I'll post it in here as well
My local auction house has some Lego coming up in their next auction, bit surprised as some of those are quite new sets;
http://www.gerrardsauctionrooms.com/BidCat/Catalog...
Sets:
42022 - Hot Rod
8297 - Off Roader
10248 - Ferrari F40
10242 - Mini Cooper
10220 - VW T1 Camper
8053 - Mobile Crane
42006 - Excavator
42024 - Container Truck
42043 - Merc Truck
9398 - 4x4 Crawler
42030 - Volvo L350
42009 - Mobile Crane Mk2
42039 - 24hr Race Car
42025 - Cargo Plane
10226 - Sopwith Camel
9396 - Rescue Helicopter
8264 - Hauler
42008 - Service Truck
75105 - Millenium Falcon (latest one)
I'd love to know the story behind this lot, you'd think a serious collector would put them on Bricklink or similar as opposed to some random auction house.

The Porsche really frustrates me, I really want to buy it and really want to love it, but I just cannot convince myself that it looks good.
To me, the obvious shape is there, but the bodywork is just too much of a dogs dinner with all the panel gaps.
Did anyone else feel this but go on to buy it and love it?

I'm in exactly the same position, and I've not bought it yet either, and I prefer the Lepin copy in white..... To me, the obvious shape is there, but the bodywork is just too much of a dogs dinner with all the panel gaps.

I am on the fence about the Porsche too. It does look hideous but it has all the features I want in a lego Supercar. It doesn't help that it is £100 overpriced. Even at £170 it is still at the very least £20 too much.To me, the obvious shape is there, but the bodywork is just too much of a dogs dinner with all the panel gaps.

However, it looks excellent from the side in this shot, so maybe the answer is to display it on a high shelf!

Same as, to my eyes it's just not right. My wife was going to get it for me at Christmas but my son said no, I got the Class instead. Love that thing. To me, the obvious shape is there, but the bodywork is just too much of a dogs dinner with all the panel gaps.

I enjoyed the build more than i like the look of it. My son likes to play with it though so win win. I'm in the middle of attempting the removable body mod and realised I'm short a few elements which has stifled me a bit and upset the lad though! To me, the obvious shape is there, but the bodywork is just too much of a dogs dinner with all the panel gaps.
