8293 Power Functions motor set. It motorises the boom lift / extend and the winch, but not the boom turn or the outriggers.

Also ordered the slide bed truck biggrin

Nice biggrin
I'm sure with a bit of a faff about you could get it remote controlled, I did with the 8070 supercar.

this was the last technic scratch built model i built as a child. it's my version of a go anywhere armoured tank type thing. It has a working V8 in the back that spins off the centre wheels, 6 wheel independent suspension including steering front wheels and the two steering wheels in the cab rotate when the front wheels steer. you can tell how old it is by the wheels!

technic aficionados will be able to spot the old skool suspension technology from the really old technic car chassis and the first technic supercar

whilst i've got the camera out, here's one of my favourites, the model team black big rig. i love it because it reminds me of the rubber duck's truck from Convoy. What a great film

Some of the parts might be unavailable, wheels being one I'd bet on so you'd have to either ebay or modify the design, but I think you could do it, might be better just copying the parts list and just ordering them from lego, the instructions will be online somewhere.

Great thread, have recently watched Mega factories at the Lego factory.

There are loads of groups worldwide for adult Lego builders, they are called AFOL's ( Adult Fans of Lego)

Did you know lego are the largesr Tyre manufacturer in the world ?

Lego need to do a range of modern technic or replica cars.

Mclaren F1.

Ferrari F40.

Ferrari 250.

Audi Quattro in rally colours.

Maybe a new space shuttle as the one above looks cool.

Not built my remote control dinosaur yet, might sell it as it will be worth more with the packets unopened in the box.

I've not built any lego for a while but I think I might have to get the 8070 Supercar. I've put my 8285 tow truck up on ebay so hopefully it shouldn't cost me too much.

I'll get some pics when I've got it.
