Discovered tonight that swmbo's annoying 28 year old son has been prating around with my Lego kits this week.

He has taken apart one of my Ferrari F1 cars, I don't know the kit number, & has managed to dis-connect the steering wheel so that it no longer turns the front wheels.

Easily fixed however the idiot has lost one of the retaining pins that holds the engine cover in place & he has picked off most of the decals!!!!

Even more annoying is the part in the photo which is from 8071. I can't for the life of me work out where it should go so can anyone give me an idea please.

Also found out the platform does not raise now when the cog is turned so fk knows what he has done to that.

Good job the big F1 car, the rescue helicopter & the flat-bed had been moved.

Stupid annoying tt!!!!!!!

28 years old?

My 8 year old wouldn't even consider doing that to her younger brother's lego, now he hers.

Sounds like a proper plum.

He is an ahole.

I have a 9 year old who, apart from having his own Lego collection in his bedroom, knows not to touch my Lego unless he asks me first or if I let him which, sometimes, I do.

The instructions are away in the garage & I can't figure out where the piece has come from.

So annoying.

Have a look at step 23, that looks like the rear lights with 4 of the 6 missing, that may explain why it doesn't work properly as he must have disconnected the cog to remove the lights.

That is exactly what the bell end has done - thank you bluemr2.

It appears that the missing lights are indeed missing as he thought it would be funny to throw them away....

Idiot.

So now I have to find some spare lights, work out why nothing works as it did & I need to source a new set of decals for the Ferrari F1.

What a ball-ache.

Go to http://brickset.com/ then search sets for Ferrari F1 then check each entry till you find your models number, then you can search for the stickers.

Might be worth putting a wanted advert on Bricksets forum.

Does this 28 year old live in your house? If so, I think it would appear to be time to invite him to leave! What an arse!!

I've found spares of the 4 lights you need if you want them.

That is amazing!

One question though, how do you cope with dust?!

I had a similar thing (on a smaller scale) in my bedroom as a kid, shelving all around the room full of Castle, Pirate, and City theme Lego kits.

I remember that within days the whole lot was caked in dust, not that it bothered me back then hehe

I've got a feeling that the Clubcard double face value offer on certain stuff (which includes Lego...) is also underway, which could make it even more tempting.
