I have to say that the Racer looks pretty weak compared to the quality of the models they normally do, they're usually able to get the lines pretty darn close to whatever model they're copying.More of the next releases here http://paulstechnic.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/photos... .

That looks like an 8041 (Race Truck) thats sat on my desk
Apparently 8041 was a limited edition not available in all markets. The new one will be a general release. The only difference people have spotted is the wheels going from 3 hole centres to the new 6 hole style.Edited by Whitefly Swatter on Friday 3rd October 10:52
I missed out on 8041 the first time and they are expensive on Ebay so will probably get this and the new motorbike to add to the collection.

The first image of the le mans car looks better than the later aussi images. Looks better proportioned, the bonnet and rear wheel guards a different on each car, green on one black on the better one IMHO
There are two images doing the rounds! One has 83 on the side and the other doesn't. One has round front lights, the other doesn't.

The top image is the preview.... and I wonder if Audi complained? Looks very like the R18.
Seems headlights, the central fin and the front end have changed.
I reckon the ACO if not Audi. They may have some sort of trademark or IP rated to LMP type cars. The "sail" might be a distinguishing feature for example. They are pretty aggressive in other areas related to Le Mans' image so it wouldn't surprise me.Seems headlights, the central fin and the front end have changed.

Guys,
I've got the 8043 excavator - had it built-up a few yeas now. I bought a load of new batteries becasue my son wanted to play with it. OK so I wanted to play with it but whatever.
Trouble is, even with fresh batteries, it's got no power. I know it was always a marginal design for the power available, but now it barely has any at all. The slewing function stops after about 90 degrees.
I read there were issues with the linear actuators on this model, does anyone know how to identify the faulty parts?
The slewing function doesn't use LA's, so is it also a motor issue I wonder?
Also, is there any way of lubricating lego safely? I did ask them ,but they said they never recommend lubricants. I reckon they would make a hell of a differnece to this model, but I don't want to degrade the plastic.
Any ideas?
