After 25 years (ish) and pretty much no RC here is my 'new' pride and joy.
...ok. It is a pile of junk but I had one of these when I was a kid and always regretted selling it.
Rebuild is under way.
God that takes me back a while.... Mardave chassis, started off with one of those & then went to home designed cars with flat polycarb chassis & fibreglass shaker plate, using Associated steering & plumber blocks....ok. It is a pile of junk but I had one of these when I was a kid and always regretted selling it.
Rebuild is under way.
A couple of my current ones then.

Addes some upgrades to the Wraith last night, so tested them on the rockery
Wraith Rockery Front by MBBlat, on Flickr
Basically added metal C-hub carrier, steering links, front sway bar, new wheels & tyres and some inner wings

Took the chance to give the SCX-10 a spin round the rockery whilst I was at it
SCX 10 Rockery 3 by MBBlat, on Flickr
And got a pic of the nearly completed Bruiser last weekend - just got to paint the windows on the truck top & finish applying the stickers

Only trouble with the new wraith upgrades is I managed to totally wreck the steering servo - after about 10 min playing in the local park
Been looking around the web & the recommended servos (Hitec 7950/7955) are £60+ and not even waterproof - a lot of money to be sat in the most exposed position of the truck right on top of the fwd axle.

Resurrected vintage Tamiya Blackfoot, recently ballraced and oil dampers added.

New servo fitted to the Wraith & taken down the local park for a muddy test run

Ordered some PH smilies to add some decoration.

Here is my battered Carisma GT14b in its usual state.
Cheap (less than £130 RTR) and pretty hardy. As standard it is 4wd, has a 2.4ghz receiver and a brushless motor. It has a standard NiMH battery in a saddle pack formation. Been fine as a basher, I previously had a Monster Beetle which was far too quick for an 8yr old me and was broken all the time
Do want a better one when funds allow...

Love the Lunchboxes, Parma shells are still available from Time Tunnel Models though if you need a spare!
I recently finished my M03-R Mini. The headlights work and I'm just waiting on the brave pills before its' maiden run (outside of the kitchen floor...)
Love the rebuild, you got any pics with the shell off? I've just bought one of these in a view to do an exact replica of my mini red hot I've just restored.I recently finished my M03-R Mini. Decided that the wraith needed something to break up the orange, so added something that might seem familiar

The pred is still an awesome looking car, sadly team xtream have appalling customer service. The X11 was launched in 2006/7 and then it was updated in 2008. I don't think a great deal has happened since then.
I had an X11-08 and when it was running right it absolutely flew, sadly it took a lot of maintenance to keep it running right. I ended up having a couple of diffs so that I could have one to rebuild and one running in the car. Other things would randomly fall apart/come loose all of the time which kind of ruined it for me. I've still got my original pred from back in the day with a carbon chassis which I must get around to getting cleaned up and on the shelf.
Here's my X11
And theres a pretty good review of them here http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewxtremex11/ but it doesn't seem to work at the moment
