I know!! I'm used to speed/power being quite predictable (2-stroke) - but this brushless motor tech is crazy. It can back-flip even while already at pretty decent speed, which was the surprise. And then guess what panic-release of the throttle means - cartwheels of tens of metres! That's when you discover the necessity of the lower drag-brake settings! I think it's easily clearing 50mph.

Cool.
What model is it?
Google image search suggests it's a Waverunner RTR Buggy which you can get for about £60. Looks a lot like the Tamiya Holeshot to me, but 2WD!What model is it?
I'm busy building my new race car for this year - not yet finished but getting there:
Which will look more like this when complete
Also running in my new engine for this year - an FX 5K made by the Hudy family. Also using a break in bench for the first time rather than endlessly running the car in car parks!
Ignore the drill in the pic - wasn't anywhere near man enough to start the engine! Had to pop to my 'local' model shop 35 miles away to get a prop starter that runs off 12V

Yep waverunner RTR buggy. I paid £70 for everything & it's pretty nifty.

My local recommendation is the BMX track...you will have a ball with it on there.

WTF is one of those - Im a TC man but have been out of the game for a few years, never even heard of them. First look I thought I was a Xray using that colour chassis. Nice Hudy gear = great stuff. I'm busy building my new race car for this year - not yet finished but getting there:

I ran Xray the last few years - 808 and XB9. The Agama is brought in by Jon Hazlewood - it's extremely strong and works well on dirt tracks. They bring great support to all the meetings I do so I don't need to carry any spares!Hudy gear is good - just not cheap! Thankfully I get a bit of support which makes it slightly more affordable. Getting used to the break in bench - it's handy once you get going with it

Just picked up this for my Birthday! I had one back in 94 so it'll be weird building it again (although my Dad did most of it back then) ;-)
Awesome - seeing this has reminded me I have a half-driven over RC10 worlds car in my cupboard that needs repairing - however from memory when I tried to get parts for it 9 or 10 years ago they were unobtanium. I bought it from a former national competitor and by all accounts it has some trick bits on it - the front shock tower mount is linked at the top meaning you have to thread the body through, and all of the main parts screwed to the chassis are made out of a white plastic (dynalite or fibrelight or something, can't remember the name!) Anyone know of any good stockists of parts for old tubs like these?Adrian E said:

Never tried off road racing apart from having a go of a EB4 ( I think it was ) around the old Ashby on road track.
