Looks awesome that.
I want a 'proper' crawler in the future, time, space and money currently prevent that happening!
My latest aquisition is a bit smaller in the form of Tamiya's new Suzuki Jimny JB23 on the brand new MF01X chassis (which is basically a modular TL01).
It's actually (rather embarrassingly) more capable than my CC01 'crawler' in so much as the approach angles are pretty extreme with the tiny bumper and large wheels. I've locked the rear diff only for now.

Thanks, it took me a long time but very pleased with it.
I agree about the CC01, it's a shame its not quite as capable, the landy started life as a CC01, but feels proper now on an scx. I used to be up to speed on tamiya, but I've never seen that chassis or jimny before! looks excellent

It's great fun, I've just ordered some grippier tyres for it. What it really needs is some RC4WD stamped 1.55 wheels and some dirt thrasher tyres, but they would amount to more than I paid for the entire kit!
I'd like to build something using that detailed Jeep body from China (the one with full interior) next, just have to have a few months of saving up first!
How much does your SCX weigh out of interest? I weighed my modded CC01 this week and it came in at 2.9kgs!

Very similar in concept to the TT01, as you'd expect really as it's more of an evolutionary thing. More tuning options with the gearing and better bulkhead designs front and rear. Lots of cross-compatibility with the TT01, although always worth checking first because there are subtle differences.
Good fun though. My only recommendation would be not to get carried away hopping it up - ultimately it will always be an entry-level chassis no matter how much money you throw at it. If your talent or interest outgrows it; get a better chassis...

Sacked off the TT02 idea, bought a 3racing Sakura XI sport instead.
10.5t Turnigy Trackstar motor, 120A Hobbyking Xcar ESC, Savox SC-1251MG servo and FSGT3B radio. Pretty fast for a budget build.
Still looking for a body, i fancy one of the old Tamiya BTCC/JTCC bodies but they're hard to find, would love the Cavalier or Mondeo.

That looks like a Schumacher Mi3. 10.5t Turnigy Trackstar motor, 120A Hobbyking Xcar ESC, Savox SC-1251MG servo and FSGT3B radio. Pretty fast for a budget build.

I bet you would be able to find a Mondeo or A4 shell a few manufactures made them back in the day.

Any more information on these, thinking of switching to 1/10th this year.
Oops - sorry khevolution, only just poked my head in here pretty much since I posted those pics. So, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The short course truck is a Losi 22SCT - I love it but nowhere really races them. Even the national series this year has been struggling for numbers for the 2015 season. The 2wd is a Schumacher KF, it's been superceded by the KF2 which is a great bit of kit. Lovely build and easier to work on than the original.
The 4wd is a 1st gen (so 2013 maybe!!) X-ray XB4, the X-ray is still dominant in 4wd this year and has just won the world championships albeit s the 2016 version.
Was there something in particular you wanted to know?
(and I promise to look back in here more regularly!)

I've got an old accord shell and an alfa 159 shell that would fit that. Think i did the Alfa in Marlborough colours for some unknown reason. 10.5t Turnigy Trackstar motor, 120A Hobbyking Xcar ESC, Savox SC-1251MG servo and FSGT3B radio. Pretty fast for a budget build.

Dug out an old chassis today, feeling sorry for myself after being stuck in limbo between jobs. If it carries on much longer I'm gonna have to start selling my toys!
This is a TA03R chassis by Tamiya. It's got a lot of hop ups, but I won't bore you with listing them!
Had a play about with different wheels, think the BBS style suit it best.

I've decided to give the Wraith a new look

Then headed to the park to add some natural weathering:

I've got a new interior on order that I will do up to match, I just need to find a 1/10 scale spitfire pilot to replace the current driver.
