Do these clinics set up your layout for you? I've only spent £230 so far which is a bargain, especially as only four of the cars have been ran and on top of the expensive digital ones I've got this

and this

Nice set up. Takes me back to my youth trying in vain to build a Silverstone replica track.

Do you have any build pictures?

The trouble with 1:32 is you need a gymnasium to build an accurate Silverstone, ROC tracks are one of the closest you can get to scale.

Not many.

No, they just help you beat your addiction!

Which Jadlam set did you buy?

That's what I don't know. It was an eBay impulse purchase, and came with cars that I could resell for more than the whole lot cost me.

It's digital but the earlier stuff as the lane changers are corners and the 6 car powerbase is the normal one not the advanced lane changer. The chap I bought it from was a nice bloke who'd bought the track and digital cars from them 3 or 4 years ago, set it up for a month and then packed it all away so it's all pretty much as new.

ETA: this was the eBay auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-lane-changing-Scal...

Any chance you could give us a list of track pieces required to build it? Pretty please? smile

That's brilliant, how close are the 2 tracks to being the same length? biggrin

The lanes are not the same length but are equal in terms of lap time due to careful use of barrier assistance.

I will see if I can find the correct track plans.

The right hand side has a chicane to equal the lap times, the lapcounter is modified to fit in the centre, and the Powerbase is actually 2 car analogue.

I have only just joined and have been looking for a decent Scalextric track to build. Having seen your one from 2012, I am impressed. If you still have this could you possibly send me the track codes and amounts of each so I may try and replicate it. My grandchildren will be very excited if I can produce such a great track!

The track codes are 2 posts above, then from going on a website to order them bits you'll get a price. However I'm bored so to buy the track (without a power supply) direct from scaletrix is £387.10 power supply to be controlled from a phone/tablet is £50 and then you need cars and track dressing items.

Thanks for this. I stupidly didn't look further than the first page. So not realising you had already put a track list up. Also, may I ask what material you used for the barriers and how they are fixed? Much obliged.

Looks like plasticard although I didn't build it how I would do it is buy the scaltrix barriers then glue th pe plasticard barriers to them.

You will also need the stanchions for the bridge and you can buy a pre made Dunlop bridge instead of making your own.

As Scalextric barriers were not suitable for this replica and there was insufficient room for them I used these and cut 'teeth' out of the part that lay flat under the track to enable it to bend around corners.
