Yes, the Estoril one. Looks really nice. I have the Otto E36 GT, would go nicely with that.
Only thing with the Otto models is the doors, bonnet and boot do not open.

Yes, being resin that's true. However, the paint finish and the detail make up for it. I have quite a few Otto BMWs and have been pleased with all of them. I'd certainly recommend it.

Otherwise for an diecast with opening parts Estoril Blue E36 M3, you could look into obtaining an old 'UT Models' 1/18 from eBay.

I've got a box of old 1/18 cars from when I lived with my parents, I wondered if they were worth much. All unboxed and in average condition, have a XJ220, DB7 Vantage and Ferrari 575, an Enzo and a 355 from memory.

Some great models on show here. I'll get some shots up of my collection of mainly Volkswagen, BMW and Ford.

Hi

I was hunting though some boxes and have an unopened 1/18 UT E36 M3 Convertible in Techno Violet, is it worth anything?

Thanks

Rumour has it the Maisto 1/18 range is back in at Costco. Will attempt to verify this myself over the weekend!

I love the rims! I've tried doing a few lately but it was so much work removing the old wheels from Autoart models I was put off.
Well done, they suit your choices very well.

Although in period the BMW & Cosworth would not have had 20" rims and licorice strips for tyres. wink

Absolutely. If as you mention it is in great/unopened condition, on eBay I'd expect anything from £40-60+

Liking the 6 Series. cool

Anson?

One of the model car forums I post on has a whole subsection for modified 1/18s.

Thanks for your comments guys. the 6 series is indeed made by Anson. nice model. Will be fitting some smaller rims, maybe bbs with gold centers. Still new to the modifying game so experimenting with different ideas.
Will upload some more soon.

The Corrado VR6 was modified by myself to replicate my own car. This involved an interior colour change and lowered suspension.

Can anyone recommend a good supplier of resin based die cast models? Preferably personalised as I would like to purchase one for each of the cars I purchase over the years for memory and keepsake. Appreciate any links or suggestions.

I would suggest 1:43 for a collection like that and most cars are available if you search the interent.

Thanks RichB, I really wanted to buy 10 models tops i.e. my main favourites. The 1:43 are perhaps on the slightly small side in order to "show them off" in study or office?

Right, understand. Rather than one maker I reckon you'll have to cast around. What cars are you searching for?

Initially 458 spider, i8 protonic blue, 2010 RR Vogue and 2005 DB9 Coupe. Im finding it quite tricky to find ones which can be personalised. Have been searching for approx 2 hours online now!
