Re: lego discolouration. There are recipes on the net. I have used 12% hydrogen peroxide and a scoop of oxyclean mixed, and then left in a jar in sunlight for 8 hours
This has given me some success, but not totally white. I did it because I had at least a kilo of white bricks to do.
If you only have a few bricks to do then buy them new from Bricklink, as the hydrogen peroxide will cost you around £15
Great build log. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. I was hoping it would as simple as putting them in the washing machine or something, but it's probably going to be easier to buy new ones. This has given me some success, but not totally white. I did it because I had at least a kilo of white bricks to do.

My Christmas present from my 5 year old.
Didn't take long, but is actually very detailed.
That was a present for my six year old/me! He's been desperate for anything Ghostbusters for some reason.Didn't take long, but is actually very detailed.
Also got him the Lego Cargo Train which I am really impressed with as a toy...works brilliantly.
Brickset is becoming quite handy in telling me which of my current models I need to destroy to replace the parts i'm missing for the Falcon.
This piece was missing 3x part 4211503: Tap Ø4.9/6.4. I managed to replace them from one of the models in the 2013 Star Wars advent calendar, which was no real loss as they haven't seen the light of day since 2013, but I hope not many more are needed as I only have 3 left before I need to revisit Batman's Tumbler.

Has anyone seen the Falcon advertised on tv that you build weekly- there are 100 sections at £9 each I think, so £900 in total
It looks very detailed, but has anyone actually made one??
It'll be 2 years before anyone has made one. It's supposedly a replica of the Falcon used in filming the movies. I have no idea about quality. It looks very detailed, but has anyone actually made one??
Another missing part in this piece, this time I didn't have on any of my other models to scavenge, so it's gone on with it missing. Hopefully it's not going to be too much hassle to dismantle once i've sourced a replacement.
This model stopped being enjoyable sometime last night and is now more of a chore. Each step is filled with worry about when the next missing part will make itself known of which i'm sure there will be more before this model is done.
I know this is a risk with any used lego, regardless of price point, but it's still disappointing when it happens.
