Apologies, I forgot to take a photo before fitting this section.

Town Hall and Super Star Destroyer took one for the team while making this piece, plus a couple other spares I had laying around.

I just want this damn thing to end, I'm running out of lego, I can already see there a more more missing pieces coming up in the next section.

I think I can see an email to the seller in my near future, for what good it'll do. A few missing pieces I could live with but this is taking the Micky now.

Apologies again, I never took a photo before this when on.

Ecto-1, Pet Shop, AT-AT and 2014 Star Wars advent calendar gave it up to make this piece.

I'd be absolutely apoplectic if I were you, BK. Given what you must have paid for the kit, and the representation that it was complete, I think you have every right to be exceedingly unhappy at having to find so many replacement bits.

I agree entirely that it's likely to do sod all good to vent your spleen at him - but I'd be doing it anyway.

What chance pleading ignorance to Lego and asking for some replacement bits from them?

I'd have sent one as soon as the first part was missing, and advised PayPal/eBay.

You definitely need to do this with a current list of parts missing, and I might be inclined to count up the remainder to get a full list of missing bits.

It wasn't bought via eBay/Paypal. I got it from a trader at Brick 2014, I believe he has a Bricklink store, so i'll try appealing to his good nature.

I've finished the model now and there were a total of 20 parts missing, which in the grand scheme of things isn't too bad but it was inconvenient having to break apart my display models to get to the parts I needed.

To be honest, i've sold sets on Ebay and whilst the finished model was complete for parts, Lego listed the spares in the set and the buyer(s) complained that the spare bits weren't included. Which was a bit of a pain considering they were kits from the 80's but i did the decent thing and sent out the spare bits - so i'd definitely be back onto the seller of the Falcon which as someone pointed out, was probably an awful lot of cash.

Popped into the Metrocentre store today and whilst they had the new Slave 1 in a display case, they were all sold out. After speaking to the (rather attractive) sales assistant, apparently it went on sale yesterday (the store was closed) and was sold out before 2pm today - 4 hours(ish). Same with the Tumbler.

To be honest, it probably saved me from an argument! We didn't come away empty handed though as these seem to find their way into the "kids" hands

Star Wars Microfighters Snowspeeder and AT-AT
Lego Movie Double Decker Couch
Hero Factory Crystal Beast vs Bulk

All built, all quite nice little sets for the kids. AT-AT is a big fave!

PS - i'll be back for both the Tumbler and Slave 1 when not being scrutinised... smile

Idle browsing would definitely confirm this!

I would 100% definitely get the missing pieces if you paid anywhere near what they seem to sell for smile

(Still a great thing regardless smile).

10179 was expensive but the lowest I'd ever seen it, I managed to get it for £2k. Condition is excellent, the outer box has minimal signs of wear, the inner boxes are present as are the regular stickers, shiny sticker and certificate.
I thought I did well when I sold mine 3 years ago for £800. When I bought it new it cost £350. They had 2 in the shop and I did think about buying the other as an investment. I wish I had.

On the way home from Edinburgh to Poole I popped in to the Lego store at Meadowhall. Daughter fgot some Lego Friends sets and I just had to buy the new Ideas birds set. It is a lovely build with some fantastic techniques used and they look lovely on the bookshelves. I'm holding out for the Detective Agency until May when it is my birthday.
On a side note the UCS Slave 1 looks huge!
