Non Technic LEGO

Thanks for the info Colin, seems like I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a re-release in that case.
I have the Death Star and SSD, still wouldn't mind a DSII and an ISD, in fact I'd like any of the big kits, the only thing keeping me from blowing loads of money on this stuff is my accountant wife!

There is a woman whinging like a bh on a certain website about a 10179 that she says she bought new.
She says, and I quote, 'so I bought this "star war" thing for my nephew as I had promised hm one earlier this year, so it arrived and my nephew started building it with my husband as I have no clue what it is. So they started making it and shortly found that a piece of the exterior was bent. We packed all up ready to replace it for a new one but one of the tiny pieces went missing so we could not give it back. Now all I'm stuck with is some Lego and 4 million pound less'
Either she is bull-stting when she says she has bought one or she is just plain stupid.
Clearly she doesn't know that Lego will replace any missing or damaged pieces without question.
I am inclined to think that she is talking crap & that she hasn't bought one however, to be on the safe side, I have emailed her & offered her £100 for her faulty Lego set!!!!!!

It's probably a http://brickset.com/sets/7965-1/Millennium-Falcon its unlikely a non fan would randomly come accross a 10179 and buy it, even more unlikely a shop would have one selling cheap.
They could however have bought one like BK at a show but believed it was from LEGO.

FAO Bipolar Kittens,
it was I that asked if you'd do a build log, and can I say thank you very much, it looks absolutely amazing! So envious!
A real shame about the missing parts though and the fact that it made the latter part of the build a bit stressful, hopefully the seller will sort you out with spares without too much hassle.
I do hope they re-release this set, but something tells me they won't.
Thanks again for posting, I can at least look at the pics and dream!
Wonder how much it'd cost me to source the parts independantly to build it?
Ash

I never emailed the seller in the end but I've just this minute ordered the missing parts from Bricklink (My God, it's complicated!) for around £8.
In other news, Slave 1 and Detective's Office turned up today

£8 isn't bad at all, given the grief and hassle you may have ahd from the seller it's probably the safest option and the one to cause lease stress and aggro.I never emailed the seller in the end but I've just this minute ordered the missing parts from Bricklink (My God, it's complicated!) for around £8.
