I picked up a set of the series 1 Simpson's lego mini figures a while back, the series 2 look a great , I might have just picked up a set, not opened yet so hopefully got the lot. There is a shop near me with a lady with magic fingers so sorts them in to sets. wink

The new Ferris wheel looks pretty cool.

That Ferris wheel looks enormous. Makes the Fairground Mixer look more interesting if it will have a sort of companion set too.

A Grand Carousel would go nicely with them.

I got half way through the head but run out of too many parts, so had to order more. I'm just waiting on one part in particular before I can continue, it's always the one you need that takes the longest to come. Hopefully, it'll be here this week.

Part of the Mixer's cleverness was how it folded up on to a truck.

The ferris wheel looks great but doesn't look like something that "packs away" easily, like real fairground rides. If so I will be a smidgen disappointed, I'd hoped for a whole series of clever truck-based fairground rides that besides building out of the individual lego bricks, you then could "build up" the ride itself.

We'll see soon I guess.

Seems to be just under 2500 pieces.

The head is done....

....kind of. In terms of parts, it's complete but I've run out of instructions and this is the state they left it in, so i guess I need to figure out how it fits together myself. However, it's late, so that's a job for tomorrow.

I'm quite disappointed that it's not really an enjoyable build for you BPK, though the finished article will make the pain all worth while, it does look very impressive. thumbup

I was thinking the same thing. It's seems to have been a massive pain. I suppose it will make it all the more rewarding.

The feet and legs were fun but after that everything else has been a horrible experience and had it not cost so much I would have given up a long time ago. I just keep thinking of the finished article to get me through it, assuming there will be a finished article, everything is so fragile i'm dreading connecting all the limbs to the body.

The head is done, although i'm not best pleased with the size of the gaps between the top and sides so i'll need to fettle with it a bit more, but after a couple of hours this is the first time it went together and stayed together, so i'll not be touching it again for a while.

Just the roof to go.

Panel gaps from a 80s kit car. Looks like you could be a stud out somewhere.

Good on you for keeping going with it.
