The pictures from this thread could be useful, the designer posted a few times as well.

Panel gaps from a 80s kit car. Looks like you could be a stud out somewhere.

Good on you for keeping going with it.
Yep, the front and top is one section which I think I've attached a stud further back than it should be

The lego designer's video is out as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nch-znk6DNw

It's huge! Look at the size of it next to the bloke talking about it! Must be going to come in at £150+?

It's crying out for someone to release some sort of clip-on animated lights set for it smile

Full marks for perseverance, BPK! No matter how impressive the eventual end product, I suspect I would have got frustrated and given up long before now if I had been in your shoes....

Thanks for posting that.

I had a number of small sub-assemblies sitting to one side that LDD just leaves floating in mid air, i've been able to locate them from reading it and i didn't know the head needed an elastic band which has helped with my alignment issues but more importantly I now know the part numbers for the patterned dishes used on the legs so I've been able to order them to replace my plain ones.

The Death Star is £247.49 from the UK Lego Store in the sale, so you could perhaps find a way to get it for less.

Anyone else bought any Friends sets? I acquired three recently and I'm really impressed; the box graphics make them look very girlie but even the figures aren't nearly as bad as I'd expected. The hot air balloon is great, if a little small, and the car and caravan is surprisingly lovely too. I also have the lighthouse/ice cream shop but haven't built it yet.

10188 Death Star just found itself in my shopping bag during the Star Wars Sale. Looks like some freebies come with it too.

€377, so about £288. At that price the head says 'store it', but I think the heart will win hehe
I would like the Death Star - but EUR377 is still a bit rich for me - so ordered the UCS TIE Fighter to accompany the UCS X-Wing I already have smile

I would have had the AT-AT finished tonight, but it's on hold again as I've had to order a part. It's only a 2 x 10 plate which I have in other models but I've already broken 2 models today to rob for other parts and i'm not willing to break any more.

The parts list does leave something to be desired, this isn't the first time i've run out of parts and had had to order more but I do hope it'll be the last.

Haha love it - May the 4th be with you tomorrow. Have had a big duplo session today with the niece and nephew - how tall a tower can you build before it falls over always brings the best of us old kids out.

I've always found the prices in the Lego shop to be higher than Amazon etc, sometimes by a fair bit. Don't get swept up on the place and end up spending a fortune!

Missed the wookie. Saw the parade though, must have been hot in some of those costumes.

I know it's expensive there (and no lego vip points).
