Won't let independents like me have Exo-suit as an important line, I have to turn away hundreds of customers asking me for it - queue Lego flogging it off at 1/3 off, thanks!

Ah, cheers - missed that when flicking through. At that price, I've now finally ordered it.
Missed that boat today frown

"Sold Out"
They probably have them in stores still.

Not sure how reliable, but over on a site called eurobricks.com there has been a lot of activity over the last few days with a couple of people saying that they have some information around the Ferarri F40.

I think we all know that it is the unknown July VIP launch but unfortunately there still doesn't appear to be any pictures.

Word on eurobricks.com is that the set will fall roughly into the same size and scale of the Mini Cooper / Campervan, so great for display purposes. The set is also rumoured to be around 1200 pieces and to cost somewhere in the region of $100, again which falls in line with Cooper / Camper.

I think we must only be a couple of days away from official release.

Kit number will probably be 10248.

Quite a few photos to be found on Google.

Looks good from the initial imagines.

The only thing I've found is this: http://www.bild.de/auto/auto-news/lego/sondermodel...

And that doesn't look like the real thing to me, more like a fan creation and simplistic rendering of a box. To be honest, if that is it I won't bother buying it; it's more in keeping with the old Enzo model:

If it's the one with all the missing body panels, I think that's just a fan's recreation.

The actual one, if anything like the Camper or the Mini, will be a much better one.

Now that I've seen more pics, I'm even less impressed. The rear view looks like a low-res computer game version of the F40 from the 1980s, the brick-built roof and rear wing uprights are way too thick and it generally feels like a model from a decade ago, not 2015.

Might buy the Mini Cooper now; while I was disappointed by that compared to the VW Camper, compared to the F40 it starts to look more appealing.

I take back my earlier post. What a load of toss. Not even a proper engine, just a pre-formed manifold - WTF?

The price is in paying for the poxy pony badge and some slightly fancy wheels. I'm out. Mega disappointed. I was hoping for something like the Le Mans car.

fk off Ferrari you bunch of knobs. Bad mood now.

I'd rather buy half a Red 5.

Whereas I looked at the pictures and I rather like it......

Yes it's blocky and basic. But so is Lego smile

OK, so it's not a 200 Euro Lego Technic tour-de-force or a UCS set but I think it will go rather well with the camper van and mini.

I think there are some clever touches and techniques to get the car to look as close as it does. I wouldn't have expected a fully rendered or working engine anyway. MY only real disappointment is the rather large number of stickers it appears to have.

Oh and it would have been nice if there was a way to have the central "exhaust" pipe oval like the original.

I'll be getting one ASAP.

Together with a new battery box - the normal Power Functions one (6xAA) drives my ferris wheel far too fast. Poor minifigures get sick. I shall see if the smaller AAA one will drive it more slowly. If not then I'll fit a reduction gear or two. What I actually want to do is power it from a solar cell.
