Not loving the black and orange X wing - but then I'm a child of the 70s and they'll always be white with red markings for me wink

I guess a new Falcon was inevitable. My lovely wife, having heard me mention how much the retired Falcon now sells for (meaning the UCS version) surprised me for my birthday a couple of months ago by buying me the 2011 7965 Falcon, paying daft money for it from an Amazon seller, not knowing any better. It was a lovely thought but I wince every time I think how much she spent - and to have a new Falcon kit come out now sort of just adds insult to injury! Doh!

The F40 looks brilliant. Mines waiting for me to start this weekend.

Does anyone on here have the Harry Potter sets? I've got a few of the original ones. Reckon they'll be heading to eBay though, prefer the newer stuff.

Looks pretty nice, do you have any pictures next to the mini and camper to gauge size?

I was an F40 naysayer.i didn't realise there were so many little touches, like the clamshells. I take it back. May have to pick one up...

I was gonna order the F40 on Saturday, but ordered the Mini instead as I want to get it in case it goes out of production sometime.

I got some free rock star set added for free...today I get an email saying you now get a free Star Wars AT-DP instead of the rock star thing frown

Would rather have Star Wars stuff for free...

Might go for the F40 next but also want an Ecto-1.

ditto. Saw it in the Lego shop in Bluewater over the weekend and it looks spot on. Have to say I was tempted, but going on holiday in 2 weeks time and need some beer money to take with me smile

Well, I got tempted by the F40 after all the positive reviews so one got ordered and should be here soon.

I rather fancy the new Imperial Shuttle Tydirium as well. Maybe one for the Christmas list.

I must admit, I wasn't impressed when I saw the official pictures of the f40 released but the build was very good. Repeating comments in here already - it really felt like you were building the car. Some of the details are great but others are not (rear arches). Generally I loved it though and the detail on the engine is great.

Pics to give some scale versus camper / mini.

Do the F40's front wheels steer?

Just bought the crawler crane and merc truck on the other thread but this has now tempted me.

A heads up for anyone who likes the Speed Champions sets that the LaFerrari, 918 Spyder, 458 GT and P1 sets are down from £13 to £10 in Tesco - in-store and online, I think.

Not a huge saving, I realise, but as Tesco themselves point out - every little helps wink

That seems to be the first angle of that F40 that I've actually liked.
