Wall-E was very nearly responsible for a murder in our office today.
My exciting package arrived and turned out to contain a ream of A4 paper.
So I call up our friendly PHer model dispensary so we can both utter a few colourful adjectives in the direction of Royal Mail. We finish said exchange having agreed it is unfortunate and RM are a bunch of Tuesdays. I get on the phone to RM as well to register a complaint.
Not a minute later my colleague walks in and admits the paper swap was his attempt at a prank. Colleague is now feeling a bit sheepish and hiding in the workshop. Wall-E was very nearly responsible for a murder.
I then get back on the phone/email and start handing out embarrassed apologies.
Sorry again Russ - I have indeed torn him a new one.

I've said it earlier in this thread and I'll say it again - the black X Wing just looks wrong. It's white with red markings - everyone knows that!
The new Falcon looks superficially very similar to the last one from a few years back, 7965. No real incentive for anyone with that kit to buy a new one.
Nothing to tempt me - and believe me, I'm not all that hard to tempt when it comes to Star Wars Lego!

Have not checked in to this thread for a while, if I had of I would not have been so surprised when I wondered into Cardiff Lego store today with my kids to see the WALL-E set, one of my fav films.
My loverly wife said you are not having that as I am not dusting it, too right, it is going to work in the middle of my engineering workshop, purchased said set, happy days. I must check this thread more often.

Currently at Orlando airport waiting to fly home. The Disney shops had the new Star Wars merchandise in for 'Force Friday' but there was no sign of the new Lego models in the Downtown Disney Lego store yesterday. Generally, the Lego store prices were pretty attractive. The Mini Cooper and F40 models were priced at $99.99 so about £70 with taxes. I would have bought at least one had I had the suitcase room. I picked up the Speed Champions 911 GT3R set for $49.99 so about £36 which is a good deal. My son bought the Avengers Tower for the same price.

Thanks. I think I will get the Mini. There were no Wall-E sets at the DD Lego store either. The Ecto One was sold out or I'd have had them.
Is the Wall-E set ment to be hard to get? I found a few for sale in Smyths toys for £39.99. I picked one up and I must say its excellent. Its also a lot bigger then I thought it would be.Mikeyjae said:

Believe me, i'd rather not, but it isn't getting finished otherwise.
I't been on my workbench for several months, I just want it done.
What's the update BK?I't been on my workbench for several months, I just want it done.
My next model is in development - It's a Eurofighter Typhoon - here you go - quick piccy... PH exclusive!! I havent given up on the Vulcan - I am just developing the 2 in tandem - I must be mad!
Making sure it is structurally sound is literally taking twice as long as getting the details right! I keep thinking of your nightmares with the AT-AT and it makes me realise how important it is that a model is structurally sound. Otherwise the whole thing can just be a miserable experience....

Looking good!It was me that posted on your Facebook group asking whether you had given up on the Vulcan. Glad to hear that it's still at least a work in progress, even if maybe currently taking a back seat......
