Looking good!
It was me that posted on your Facebook group asking whether you had given up on the Vulcan. Glad to hear that it's still at least a work in progress, even if maybe currently taking a back seat......
It's funny, my whole little enterprise came about because I realised that there were economies of scale to be made by paying P&P on parts for 10 instead of parts for 1. It only just occurred to me that the same applies if you are developing more than 1 at the same time!It was me that posted on your Facebook group asking whether you had given up on the Vulcan. Here's another pic.. not sure what the Mandalorian guy is thinking!

What's the update BK?
My next model is in development - It's a Eurofighter Typhoon - here you go - quick piccy... PH exclusive!! I havent given up on the Vulcan - I am just developing the 2 in tandem - I must be mad!
Making sure it is structurally sound is literally taking twice as long as getting the details right! I keep thinking of your nightmares with the AT-AT and it makes me realise how important it is that a model is structurally sound. Otherwise the whole thing can just be a miserable experience....

No update on the AT-AT at the moment. The individual parts are fully assembled and sat in the corner of my room as they have been for months. I need to glue some of the weaker joints before I assemble it. I also need to buy more shelving as it currently doesn't have a home and it'll need to be assembled in situ because I fear that moving it when fully built will be problematic.
It all sounds simple and hopefully it will be, I'm just struggling to find the motivation after all the grief it's caused.
Finally got around to completing WALL-E today. The neck is very loose and "spinny". I gather this is the reason that the set was delayed and a recall put in place, although there seems to be some suggestion that the problem was limited to some kits manufactured in the US.
Has anyone who bought from russy (or early elsewhere) sorted a fix, or contacted Lego to ask?
It's not a huge problem, I know, but it does limit the "poseability".

Unfortunately not the reason why it was delayed in the US. There's a couple of fixes for the neck; one involves rebuilding the neck with a few more parts talked about here:Has anyone who bought from russy (or early elsewhere) sorted a fix, or contacted Lego to ask?

Or the alternative (which I did) was to use a bit of plastic around a technic pin to increase friction.

I contacted lego about this and their response was that it's not a fault. http://brickset.com/article/16543/wall%E2%80%A2e-h...

Did the brickset/Chris McVeigh fix and it now works exactly as you'd expect it to.

This recall thing is funny. We hear a lot about it from customers but never actually heard a thing from LEGO. No effort to actually recall stock and we had a reasonable amount (500+) - so not sure what the fix is. Has anyone who bought from russy (or early elsewhere) sorted a fix, or contacted Lego to ask?

I know it's not exactly original, but it is probably the earliest model I can remember and my want for it is great. SOOOO tempted, but why couldn't it be grey?!

The first Lego model I ever had bought for me. Before this it was "hand me down" bricks.I know it's not exactly original, but it is probably the earliest model I can remember and my want for it is great. SOOOO tempted, but why couldn't it be grey?!
Quite a few differences with this new version though. The wings were light grey, the cabin was blue and the glass yellow. Also the flat piece on top of the cockpit was transparent yellow as well.
Still very nostalgic though.
Whilst in Liverpool with my Fiance doing wedding sorting and staying with her folks, i was allowed to visit the lego store unsupervised with no budget cap (within reason )
It was like a less horrific sophie's choice.
I ended up with the VW Camper Van and Wall-E. Both good builds.
I almost had the Mystery Machine scooby doo set too.
Planning on the new Tie Fighter £60 one in a wee while.
