Just bought pretty much the entire Speed Champtions line. Good prices at John Lewis.

Lego Simpsons Series 2 Minifigs, £1.29 a piece in Argos.
Limit of 10 to reserve, just make separate reservations if you want more.

I went in and the girl on the counter said it's showing that she shouldn't even sell me 10, but the manager put through 30 for me. Perfect for the kid's party boxes for my son's party this weekend.
Thanks for the heads up on this, I reserved 20 and picked them up tonight. They had gone back up to £2.49 each but I managed to get them at the £1.29 price.

Popped into the Lego shop yesterday, not sure what scared me more, how much I've already bought for my son, or how much I want to buy for myself!

I was talking to my girlfriend about getting the two simpsons sets to save for the future and said I think I'll wait until january to order them. She said are you really going to spend over £300 in January on lego. Oh no, I said, I'm going to spend over £600, I want the Ghostbusters firehouse too hehe

Thankfully she's starting to see the appeal of lego and really enjoyed building the piggy bank http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Piggy-Coin-Bank-40155

Buy your sets separately so they total £60 or as close as you can get, then you get free delivery & the gingerbread house. The Gingerbread house goes for £30 + P&P on eBay so thats about £25 to offset against your purchase each time. Did the same with the train which was worth slightly less but still gave me £1ish off each of the sets I purchased last month.

I even got 2 free trains on the orders lego cancelled as they sent them out separately to the Starwars advent calendars they cancelled on me at the last minute.

Yes, I think if you purchase in store now you get the gingerbread house & a calendar. You don't get the calendar on-line

My recent order from Lego arrived today, 3 out of the 4 things in it have damaged boxes and the outer packing box was crushed too.

Why do they have to use Yodel!, I'd gladly pay extra to use DPD.

Speak to customer services, they will replace them. My Ecto 1's arrived damaged last week, I had replacements in 2 days before I had even sent the damaged items back. Lego customer service IMO is 1st class. Yodel seem OK in general I had 3 boxes from LEGO today all safe & sound.

The good news? Dr Who arrived today.

The bad news? SWMBO decided that she'd buy it for me for Christmas, so it has to go away :/

Russ - what's the score with the Dr Who sets? Haven't received a PM or email from you despite a couple of replies here asking for one of your allocation?

Are some of those actual colours or moulding variations/errors? There are some incredibly similar hues there; I'm sure there's more variation in colour between medium blue bricks in the same set (might have been the bike shop & cafe 31026).

Called Lego this morning and they were very apologetic and are happy to replace damaged items. I've got to take photos of the damaged sets and send them back via freepost. Then email the photos of the sets and proof of posting then they will send new ones via DHL.

To be fair yodel have been apologetic too, they have also said I should have signed for delivery but I wasn't asked to do that. I fear my cards might be marked by the yodel driver now but we will see.
