Are some of those actual colours or moulding variations/errors? There are some incredibly similar hues there; I'm sure there's more variation in colour between medium blue bricks in the same set (might have been the bike shop & cafe 31026).
No idea, it was just a link in the 'Mr Hyde' emails I get each day.

The good news? Dr Who arrived today.

The bad news? SWMBO decided that she'd buy it for me for Christmas, so it has to go away :/

Got mine from lego.com last night, nice small box indeed but it is good and heavy I thought! I remember when ECTO-1 arrived and I picked that up, thinking it was very light but the Dr Who box at least feels far more substantial!

This returning a parcel lark isn't as easy as I thought. Took it to the post office but they refused to give me a proof of posting, their reasoning was that I hadn't written a proper address on it.

No proof of posting means no replacement dispatch until lego had received and processed it. So I took the parcel back and gave them another call. The lady couldn't give me an address otherwise I would have to pay the return postage myself so said they would post one out to me which would only take a couple of days to get out to me, I managed to get her to email it to me so that I can print it and try at the post office tomorrow.

Fingers crossed it get accepted at the post office tomorrow!

Should be dead easy. When I sent mine back LEGO emailed me a pre-paid label and said stick it on the box & take it to the PO. The PO gave me a proof of postage job done.

Just ordered a Red 5 X-Wing as they are back in stock on the Lego Store and going out of production soon.

Need it to sit alongside my Falcon biggrin

Now got 3 sets going away for Santa - cannot wait to get building!

I guess re-box them or sell them cheap.

I noticed on Lego's website that they have marked a lot of stock as retiring soon. The main ones that would be of interest to be are Death Star, Red 5 and Tumbler. I've ordered the Tumbler and will probably order Red 5.

Out of stock at every Smyths store I looked at for stock.

Thought I was treating myself for Crimbo there.

If you buy it from Lego directly you get a free Gingerbread House worth about £20

More in support of smaller events and charity events.
