Don't quote me on this but I think it's a Lego Exclusive which means it's going to stay with Lego unless it doesn't sell well?

I thought that too but I'm not into batman/marvel. It won't be one for me.

Stuck in a hotel tonight as flooding/rain so bad in Aberdeenshire I can't get home. So tesco next door to get a phone charger cable to contact parents who I thought were stuck, turns out they're fine now.

So I got 2 Ferrari speed champion cars to build in room. Every cloud.

La Ferrari and 458 Italia GT

Anyone ever had a genuinely missing piece from a brand new set? Building the T1 Camper and there are only 5 light brown 4x1 but one is missing. Deconstructed the only section that uses light brown and triple checked instructions....all fine.

Very odd, the bits get added to a deep tray in a room nobody else uses and it's never moved since I started the build, so 100% certain it was just never there.

It does happen unfortunately. Lego will send you the missing bits if you call them.

This, the missing pieces are always hiding in a fold in the plastic bags for me; or very occasionally somehow out of sight in the sorting trays I use no matter how many times I think I've already checked biggrin

Lego exclusive I believe.

As for Russy, sorry to vent here, but given the business I've put his way (most of the group buys and Tamiya stuff) I was less than impressed at his lack of response re. the Dr Who sets. What's the point in asking who's interested then going quiet on them?

Sorry to say but the group buys and even 20% discount codes that get periodically offered still makes him more expensive than the big retailers.

I was happy to pay a premium to support a small retailer and fellow PHer, but it would be nice for that to be reciprocated.

I'm sure it was just business in the pre-Christmas period, but I did post several times in this respect.

Ah well. Off to Lego site to order Firehouse I guess....

I had the Lego Star Wars advent calendar this year, and found that my Rebel Snow Trooper mini-figure had his head missing! I just e-mailed Lego via their website with set number and which part I was a missing and they replied and mailed me one out straight away. It arrived on Saturday 2nd Jan. I was happy with that, they were quite apologetic in the e-mails etc, but this is probably standard response stuff.

Finished up with the AROCS this morning.

A brilliant, brilliant thing and well worth the (reasonable IMO) asking price.

Its a monster!
Agreed, I built it over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it, couldn't believe the size of it compared to the other big kits too.

Excuse my shelf + bookcase 'display unit' hehe I'd run out of room and as I'm hopefully moving house soon I couldn't justify building a custom unit that I might only use for a couple of months and might not fit in the new house!

Finished my newly arrived Brick Bank but had nowhere to display it so popped into Ikea and purchased a couple of Lack floating shelves. They are a perfect fit on the wall at the bottom of the stairs. There is room for one more modular building and the second shelf displays my VW camper, Mini Cooper and F40.

I finished the Brick Bank last night,I must say of the seven modular models I have as much as I enjoyed building it I think it is the least inspirational with very little detail on the second floor and the third been a high roof with a chandler in it...!

On a different note how do you lot keep your models clean/dust free.?

Just in the middle of putting up the exact same shelves. 7 down 5 to go, they're not all for lego mind but my almost complete millenium falcon will be taking pride of place on them.

Picked up the T1 camper yesterday, looks like a really enjoyable build so looking forward to it. Oggled at the firehouse for a bit too, that'll be a future purchase.

I picked up Wall-E on Saturday and really enjoyed the build, I think it must be the modified version because I think the neck joint is fine.

Just got the exact same shelves for my collection as well. Got a T1 Camper, Mini and Wall-E going on the first one.

I enjoyed the T1 build in the end, took a while to warm to it though. As a finished piece it's stunning, probably my favourite now.

Anyone got any shelving solutions to accommodate larger models? And by larger, I mean wider....?

I'm under orders from SWMBO to clear the desk in the "office" (i.e. smallest bedroom) which is currently home to my Red 5 X Wing, Millennium Falcon, Sopwith Camel and other small bits and pieces. Standard 25-30 cm shelves just aren't wide enough to fit the wings on the X Wing and Camel, and the room size/layout precludes a floor-standing unit.

You're not the only one! Similar collection of 'big' models and can't find anything deep enough
