Yeah, 10253 Big Ben.
That is very cheap for the size, number of parts and expected build time! smile

The aforementioned video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT2nRp6v2_c

Someone has to bring out a clock drive mechanism so the clock is capable of showing the real time. Preferably with minutes too, but that might involve non-standard parts for a coaxial drive. I'm sure it would benefit from lighting too, and I wonder how long it will be before someone extends it to include the rest of the Palace of Westminster.

Talking of lighting, when I was looking on Ebay to see how much the Detective's Office is going for (still way out of my budget sadly) I came across a lighting kit for it. £85 seems a lot of money for what you get, but blimey it looks impressive!

It looks much better with the wing mod.

They will have been given early pictures, it will have been too late to alter it when they found the wings went v shaped.

I've finished the Millenium Falcon. I won't beat around the bush, I think it's st, I don't like it and I never have. Had I not had a toothache and felt sorry for myself then i would never have bought it. Perhaps i'm spoilt as i have 10179 but I can say without doubt this is my least favourite model in my collection and i have 70803 Cloud Cuckoo Palace. I was also expecting it to be a lot bigger.

Do you mind me asking how long it took to build?

I only ask as we were at (very busy) Costa yesterday morning at about 11am and a father and young son sat down at the table next to us with this model, opened the box and started opening some of the many bags and reading instructions!

Seemed like an extraordinarily bad idea for such a big model!

Not that long, it was done within a day, maybe 7-8 hours or so I wasn't really keeping track. I would never build that or any other model in Costa though.

I made the free lego shop, tiny scale VW camper with the wife in a costa once, but yeah, my latent OCD would preclude chance of anything going missing on a big kit!

I finally made the set my wife bought me to build the day before we got married (as i would have been on my own for the day)

Only 2 months later hehe.
