Just signed up for the VIP (why haven't I done that before?!) to order the Beetle. biggrin

The Disney Castle will pretty much make my wife squeal with joy, so I'll not tell her about its existence and then get it for her Christmas gift.

Finished the Bug today.

I like it.... a simpler build than the equivalent Mini and F40.... but makes a nice model smile

You missed a bit!

My local Sainsburys had the la Ferrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Speed Champions sets for £9.79 each today. Might be worth a trip to yours if you want those sets.

Not sure if anyone has already mentioned it but .....

My daughter has got rather excited by this. I wonder if Russy could work his magic again and arrange a group buy for this kit?

I picked the McLaren P1 up from Amazon yesterday for £8.50 and just got 75876-1: Porsche 919 Hybrid and 917K Pit Lane with 42% off.

So i have limited space for my little city. I could put it up in the loft and have any layout i want but then it is not on show. I could use the spare room but then if i have guests it has to come down. So i've gone for my windowsill. It is not very wide but the forced layout of 2x9 road tiles meant i had to get creative with my town layout. I wanted my railway in too but it can take so much space even for a basic look and i do like the train stuff especially complex points and signals.

[snip]

I still have loads to build up and nowhere for my few boats or varies planes and choppers to sit but thats the drawbacks of limited space.
That looks good. This was my set up a couple of years ago. However, I had to box it all up as Mr Wooster Jr was on his way and we were running out of space. When we move next year my mission is to find a house with a basement or loft conversion so that I can build a proper city.

An update. Inbetween mowing the lawn knowing I had about 3 police choppers 6 bikes cars jeeps etc and a massive command truck with no station I bodged one together

Recognise the sets used to make this?

I kept the truck as I like it.

Nothing used from a sinle other set just the hot rod garage and police truck trailer.

The truck trailer is a bit big for my city anyway as all my stuff is old and lorries are 4 stud wide. But this one the cab is 4/5 wie and the trailer 6 stud which is too big for my scale.

Dismantling the hotrod club "garage" freed up a good part to make my custom mcdonalds look a little less blocky.

Delivered to my local toy shop last week and the chap who works their store asked if i wanted some Lego promo stuff?

It's motion activated, lights up and you can turn the yellow knob to move the chopper rotors. He's got a load of others too he said he'll let me have another one next time i'm in.

Must admit, I'm a bit of a Star Wars nut and love the Lego kits. Still got Kylo Ren's shuttle to build but here's a few of the kits I have at the moment.

That's a handful of older pictures, got the new X-Wing, handful of smaller kits, some of the new character models.....basically a total geek. This is all in and amongst various other toy collections! lol

If you have the kit built but keep the box it definitely retains value in the kit. On their own they may hold value to people who have thrown theirs away.

I keep all mine, as sad as that is! haha

I sold a load of empty boxes a while ago and got about £10 for them on ebay, I did not want to throw them away. They were old sets that I had bought for my son and had got broken up
Also sold just instructions before and they also sold
Pretty much anything lego has a value

Another build today, however i customised it a little from the standard layout I actually think it is better this way.

There is a serious problem with my city though. A public sector crisis. Out of a rough population 70, 30-40 are police fire ambulance or rescue based. This has led to a crisis in the councils funding and as such the police force and fire brigade are currently involved in a bitter feud for funds.

Still alot of vehicals to build up.

went full on nerd the other day

Been wanting Ecto-1 for a while and had some cash burning a hole in the pocket whilst passing the lego store the other day so popped in. Last one on the shelf and the sales guy didnt know if they would be restocking this set as the new ones are ready to go apparently rolleyes

So swiftly bought and taken home. Stopped in ASDA on the way home for some tea and saw the DVD boxset there for £5. so picked that up instead of a pizza!

Toast for tea while building the kit was the order of the evening then rofl

Not a challenging kit by any stretch, but some more clarity of the use of the little clear bits over the chrome/silver ones would be great as I found them very similar looking on the instructions. probably just me tho
