Amazon had 30% off the biggest Speed Champions set yesterday £50 rather than £69.99 from LEGO

Ouch, that's a massive up-lift for a set that was only very recently discontinued! As I understand it the actual model is practicaly identical to the old one with only minor changes to the mini-figs!

Just brought my misses the Disney Castle for Christmas. It is the single most expensive piece of Lego I have ever purchased, it is also the first Christmas present I have ever purchased before December. Its a night for firsts. She will love it though.

There was a much better model of a 67 that made 10k votes recently; Lego simply said they had decided not to proceed with the project.

Bargain - that's with the £20 off code on top of the 20% off Ninjago today I assume?

So tempting, but the pile of unbuilt Lego is really stacking up.

Yep that's the one, it's an Xmas present so it will go away till then unfortunately.

Couldn't find Temple of Airjitzu on amazon or toys r us, and says hard to find on Lego.com.

Soon to be retired?

That's some list!

I must say you're overpaying for a few items though.

Must be - I didn't really appreciate the Ninjago sets until reviews of the temple came out, and by then I thought it was a bit extravagant. However, thank you; I've just ordered it smile

I've not clicked checkout yet, and I'd rather spend less if I can! Any pointers?

From memory earlier today firehouse HQ is 250 in toys r us, fun in the park is a fiver cheaper on amazon and ecto 1/2 is a tenner cheaper there too.

Oh, and use code SEP20 at smyths online to get £20 off the creator pet shop. Think it expires soon though.

Not sure about the others but it pays to shop around a bit wink

The Ghostbusters set is £40 on Amazon which makes it 20% cheaper than Lego store, Amazon is often cheaper so it might be worth a look at the other sets too. Jadlam also have deals on too which makes them more competitive than LEGO direct.

Even if you want to buy from the Lego store, you could use the VIP points you earn from spending that much by splitting the order.

Still cheaper to order most of the bits elsewhere; I use the Lego store only for exclusives or early VIP releases.

+1 AND when they are giving decent give-aways at Christmas. I was getting £20+ for Christmas trains & gingerbread houses last year. I ordered everything separately so I got one with each order. Made my fleet of F40's that I built in different colours more reasonable!

I nearly came back to post that but forgot - definitely worth placing an order to get one of the better free gifts!
