Non Technic LEGO

Was a little disappointed yesterday in the Lego store, there was no little extra with spending money in store.
I picked up Wall-e as it is retiring and picked up the beatles yellow submarine also.
Do you think the Simpsons stuff will retire this year and if so, what do you reckon to it's collectability?

Is anyone able to assist me with Lego dimensions? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
I have noticed the prices on Lego's site have all risen (they did announce this last year but I didn't actually notice the press reports at the time). When retailers like John Lewis have reasonable discounts from last year's prices (e.g. Ghostbusters Firehouse at £247, old RRP £275, new RRP £285 - or GT3 at £174, old RRP £250, new RRP £260), the new prices look a bit cheeky.

Rumours abound that they are going to re-release the UCS falcon this year as part of the Star Wars 40th Anniversary celebrations. Not sure I'll be able to resist picking one up, though with inflation it's got to sell for £500 surely?
The same rumours have cropped up from time to time for years - there doesn't seem to be any more substance to them now than there has been in the past. None of the recent reports I've seen have been able to do better than the link to the 40th anniversary, the fact that the Falcon appears in silhouette on the box of the new Death Star and someone apparently knows someone who is "in the know"....I really wouldn't get your hopes up....
Finished the Caterham yesterday which now sits alongside the Beetle, Mini and Camper Van. Some lovely detail and very clever ideas, but a little surprised for a final certified model as it's not a particularly sturdy build. The boot lid is floating with no hard connection at all to the body, and the exhaust and nose are very fragile (two studs at an angle holding the entire nose structure).
I love it, but it doesn't feel like an official set.

Yes, sorry. Either way it's not the strongest. I know it's not really going to be played with so not an issue as such, but Lego usually consider playability even for models clearly aimed at adults.
it is very fragile - my unimog fell off the top of a wardrobe - few bits came apart but 5 minutes later, all good to go. my caterham fell of a table - and basically returned to how it was in the box - i basically had to start again.
For those of you who, like me are a bit short on funds / space, but still love to nerd out on the way kits are put together, the official Assembly Square instructions are now online:

I cant believe how quickly my 5 year old has got to grips with LEGO (I was LEGO mad as a kid, but I'm sure I wasn't that competent so young). He spent all day Christmas day building a Fire Utility truck (below) all by himself. He then spent the next 3 days building the Fire Station we bought him. The only help I gave him was putting the fire station back together after he dropped it trying to move it! Anyway, he was so chuffed with all his models he wanted to make some videos to show his friends... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcqp_XAH9ys I must say, I'm pretty proud of his building ability (and his ability to talk non-stop about all things LEGO!)
