Nice, you get 200 1x1 in dark red and 200 1x1 in clear. Enjoy yourself, hehe.

I fancied one for a while, just don't have the money, not cheap.
Want one? I've got a spare hehe
What were they, £50 whistle.

I've the most recent Shuttle kit; built and on display. Will grab a picture tonight.

Nice kit and certainly not going anywhere near ebay.

Looks like someone hit it with a sledge hammer a few times.

Someone showed pictures of 2 tower bridges which just had tape round them and one of them had a massive hole in the corner and half the bags missing eek.

My Krokodil Train turned up all battered and bruised, the seller did a terrible job of packaging it and was then a complete arse all the way throughout the eBay dispute process frown

Still, in the end eBay cast its vote in my favour and between my partial refund and what I sold the damaged model on for locally I made €35. A real shame though, that one was going to be put on the shelf and kept for a long time frown

This really pisses me off. People get top dollar for the item, so they know it's collectable and worth a bit, and the postage, so they can afford to package it properly, and then wrap it in nowt but brown paper. Boils my piss. I received a couple of things last week which were crushed. All you can do is try and get as much back for them as you can.

I've actually started making a point of asking sellers to package things properly in sturdy boxes. If the trend continues then I'll have no choice to only buy in person or from Amazon and such, where they pack things properly.

What a tt.

I've a dialogue ongoing on a much smaller scale of expense, but I was charged a good whack for postage and the items turned up like they'd been stood on.

Something else was sent in a jiffy bag last week. They'd had to crush it to get in into the bag ffs.

Some people have a strange idea about what suitable packaging consists of. I've had a hard drive delivered in a jiffy bag, posted through the letter box so it lands on the floor...! This was purchased from a well known supplier too, not some eBayer! When I emailed them asking how they thought that was appropriate packaging they said that I should have selected courier delivery if I wanted it packaged in something more substantial... Eh?! banghead

You got 100euros back from EBay because the box was damaged, then went on to sell it for a profit anyway? Whilst you have every right to be annoyed he didn't package it properly, I think the seller got royally screwed over here.

This sort of thing is the reason I try to avoid EBay.

I had a record posted to me once, it was in a plastic bag with a square of bubble wrap cut to the size of the sleeve. Nothing to stop it bending. Funnily enough the record arrived in 3 pieces.

I know ebay screw sellers on postage limits but there's no excuse for shoddy packing.

It's more the fact eBay can choose to refund so much (and usually always side with the buyer in disputes) that irks me, it's just so open to abuse. Still, it's his own fault for a) not packaging it properly and b) turning down the offer of you returning it. The other poster also has it spot on I think about EBay limiting postage costs which doesn't help things. The number of times I'd have a complaint that postage was less than they paid whilst ignoring the 'packaging' part of p&p. Like items just package and arrive at the post office by themselves.

Does the seller still pay fees on the final price or is it now the price minus the refund?

Who knows! Last time I used Ebay I sold an unlocked phone and the buyer tried to extort a partial refund from me threatening to open a dispute saying it wasn't unlocked. I try and avoid it like the plague now!

I've decided to sell the Paradisa set - I shan't quote it here for fear of falling foul of advertising rules.

However, I looked through it and it's complete and even had 2 road baseplates hidden in the box - Which I will be keeping smile

I'm very tempted to get that container ship earlier in the thread. Might start off small first though with the Deloreon.
