Checked your junk folder? Probably too late now; gmail would have auto-deleted.

Hmmmm ordered the Maersk container ship from the Lego webstore when it became "in stock" at the end of April beginning of May, and had an email from them asking me to contact customer services which I did, to be told that the expected ship date is now end June !

This thread makes me want to go home and open a few boxes in the attic!

Recently discovered that the Monorail set I have up there somewhere is worth quite a few quid these days!

Picked up a ghost busters car, last few left were going quick, added a couple of keyrings for £50+ and a free balloon cart and a Trevi Fountain Architecture set and large base plate to get a 2nd balloon cart.

I doubt the message went to my junk mail, I'd already emailed Russ(?) so it had no reason to mark it as spam.

My email was in gmail's spam folder - I was lucky to spot it (and the follow-up).

Are we expecting the VW camper to become rare? I'm thinking of buying it but not sure.

Don't think so, they've made and sold bazillions of it over several years. Same with Tower Bridge.

I think there was a window when a few sets like Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Grand Carousel, some of the early Modular Buildings (Cafe Corner etc) were made in much smaller numbers than sets are now and so those ones are truly rare, but Lego have well and truly caught on now and push things out in massive quantities and for much longer "on sale" times for any sets to go "rare" these days.

See kev1974's post above. I bought it on release day thinking it would be gone quickly but it's still available now. I just kept mine sealed to display though as BTTF is my favourite film, although I read that the set itself isn't great construction-wise. A plan for a larger DeLorean has been submitted to Lego Ideas so that'll be very cool if it passes the review.
