Oh, for the poster who was allowed the Mini due to it including a picnic hamper - the Simpsons House comes with a Lego BBQ set - including tools and frankfurters...
I know - I'm working on it....... Would like to set it up on a base that replicates the Simpson's Garden/Drive/fences - anyone got ideas of where I might find such a thing online?

Good man. My missus bought me it for my birthday this year. It's my first decent sized set outside of the Technic Unimog - didn't think I'd enjoy it (as it's just blocks being stacked!) but it was a really enjoyable build, and will look great in a display case once my huose has been refurbed.

fix the house in the middle and it should be fairly easy to buy flat bits for the drive/path and build fences
Looking at what you guys have spent recently I thought I'd add my tally.
Since re-discovering the joys of Lego last year when I got the Super Star Destroyer (£350), I then bought the Millenium Falcon (£109), then for Xmas got the Death Star (£279'ish) and recently got the F1 car (£80). I'm adding another cnadle to the cake this weekend and am trying to decide between R2D2 and the Red 5 X-Wing, any advice greatly appreciated on that score as I'm torn 50/50 between the two, unless I can stretch to the sand crawler.
Have a few other sets that people have bought me, whcih probably come to about £100. It's becoming an expensive hobby!

Don't have the UCS X-wing (I have the smaller x-wing) but I do have the R2-D2 and it's an excellent model - fun to build and great to display and pose.
If I was buying a UCS ship at the moment, I'd probably get the B-wing in preference to the X-wing.
The one I wish I'd bought is the Imperial Shuttle but I think I missed my chance unless someone has one and doesn't want to scalp me

Yep, the B-Wing is one I really liked the look of too, discontinued all too soon IMHO.If I was buying a UCS ship at the moment, I'd probably get the B-wing in preference to the X-wing.

I may add the B-wing and shuttle to the list. I may have a look on E-Bay and see what other UCS sets are on there for around £180'ish (if any).

That Tumbler is a must buy, look at it! Sign me up for that. Jadlam racing please take my money.
I asked Russy a while back about whether he had the UCS R2D2 but he said that Lego hold back some of the kits and only sell them themselves. Since the Tumbler seems to be a UCS kit too, I'd guess he's probably going to be unable to get hold of that one either..... Lovely looking kit though.

They might money off however try placing am order......
After three days I still haven't been able to order the sodding Spaceship!!
Amazon's customer service is, amazingly, worse than eBay.
What are you struggling with? Just click 'add to basket' and you're good to go? I ordered no problem right before making my original post. After three days I still haven't been able to order the sodding Spaceship!!

Added to basket ok, changed delivery address so that it gets delivered to work (thereby ensuring swmbo doesn't see it being delivered), confirmed payment details & from there nothing.
Simply doesn't allow me to complete the purchase. Tried it again. Nothing.
Bought other stuff from Amazon last week - all ok.
Now? Fruitless.

A tad repetitive I imagine!! Wondering what's the more fun build out of the X-Wing and R2D2 (and what would take longer), I'm thinking R2D2. How long did it take to do the Sand Crawler?
I noticed an R2-D2 built in the Leeds LEGO store and its pretty tiny. The staff said alot of people are surprised its so small. I think some people have problems with the big X-Wings wings sagging.
