My Mini arrived yesterday woohoo
Built it after a day at the beach, it took 2 1/2 hours. Great build, some amazing details. Though I wish there were no stickers.

Did convert my VW Camper Van to RHD, but changed it back to LHD as it had German registration plates and it didn't look correct. Might have to get some plates made from www.minifigs.me.

Where have people ordered their minis from?

I ordered mine from lego directly but over the phone as the website wouldn't work and I was told not to expect delivery before this Friday at the earliest.

Doing the tracks for the sand crawler is not fun.
A tad repetitive I imagine!! laugh

Wondering what's the more fun build out of the X-Wing and R2D2 (and what would take longer), I'm thinking R2D2. How long did it take to do the Sand Crawler?
I built the Sandcrawler very quickly about 7 man hours went into it, but I think it often takes people 10-12.

I noticed an R2-D2 built in the Leeds LEGO store and its pretty tiny. The staff said alot of people are surprised its so small. I think some people have problems with the big X-Wings wings sagging.
Interesting, thanks for the info, I was always under the impression R2D2 was quite big! Thought the Sand Crawler would take longer too, considering the number of parts and how long it took me to do the SSD and Death Star. A bit dissapointing if I could do it in 10-12 hours to be honest. frown LOL

I ordered mine from the Lego website, ordered on the 18th I think, and delivered yesterday.

You should collect some of the Modular Buildings. Grab a Grand Emporium while you can before the price shoots up.

We have had a VW Camper and now a Mini Cooper. What would we like LEGO to make next?
I think it will be either an American, French or Italian car as we have had German and British. Personally a Citroen DS would be amazing. I don't think they will do anything too exotic as the VW Camper and Mini aren't.

For some reason the building don't do it for me. Though I do like the look of Tower Bridge and the Sydney Opera House.

That is disappointing, especially for so many parts. However, still comes down to how much fun it is to build for me between that and the X-wing.

The SSD and Death Star took ages and both look awesome and were fun to build. But the F1 car (42000) was a lot more fun than either of those, with less build time, less parts etc.

They made a VW Beetle before the Camper Van.

Alot of people have said the Fairground Mixer is good fun and it can be motorised as well.

Tower bridge is on its way out if it hasn't already been stopped.

The modulars can be good fun to build, and look great. Give the Palace Cinema a go, it looks great when finished.
