After seeing the VW Camper in the Lego store in the Metro Centre over the weekend I have been on the edge of ordering my first set of LEgo (for me, rather than my daughter) in over 30 years.

I gave in about 20 mins ago biggrin

Ordered from the website, and hopefully arriving sometime next week.

Can't. Wait.

I think I'm going to get a campervan on Saturday. It must be nearing retirement soon with the mini out so may as well get one before the cost shoots up.

I'm running out of space so need to have a clear out of some older stuff. I may hold off on the Star Wars sets. I wonder if the value will go up when the new Star Wars film is released ... Sets to go will probably be :

6212 X-Wing Fighter
I would be tempted by that. Always wanted an X-Wing since the SW Lego was released but for reasons I can't understand I never gave in and bought one in the intervening 16 years. I need to correct that.

It says expected ship date September 4th but its often earlier.

Maybe they are doing a 2nd production run.

Anybody else's kids into Lego Chima? 66450 currently half price at Toys R Us. It's a 3 in 1 pack which consists of 70000, 70001 and 70003. £25 is pretty good value for 3 sets and 6 minifigures.

http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Constructi...

ETA: yes, pretty good for £25.

My Exo Suit hasnt arrived yet.

On the good side - just bought 10225 R2D2 for £125.00! Box damaged, slightly, so I rejected it & asked for a refund as couldn't find another one anywhere.

Store manager offered to refund me £25.00. So I took that & R2D2!!!!!

Result.

Can you remember when you ordered. I guess it was Friday morning between 8am and 10.30am ? Trying to judge if I should expect my order to turn up sooner than September ?!?

Think it was lunchtime on the Friday, certainly after the two posters above mentioned it was available

It was my youngests 6th birthday a couple of weeks back. On the run up he was getting massively into Star Wars and Lego.

And my "epic 6th birthday present, honest its for me son" came into play. The Millenium Falcon. It is absolutely ruddy brilliant fun. Until his mum sent me a picture of it collapsed after he stepped on it. Hey ho, it went into space dock, Han and Chewy worked on it for a bit and had it good as new, ready for the Kessel run or ferrying idiotic young wannabe Jedis around the universe.

And last friday we popped on over to Legoland at Windsor. And I just had to buy the Ecto 1. Which is a cracking little set, a very well designed/constructed car.

Ive finished my MINI - it was actually a very neat little build, it didnt take very long (significantly less time than the VW Camper), but I think it looks great and I am very happy with it.

Nice! I was given this as a leaving present from work.

I'm planning on building it next week, can't wait to get started.

I may have just ordered the VW Camper from the official Lego website - a lot cheaper than the inflated BIN prices on ebay, plus comes with a Mini Cooper mini model for free (and free delivery!).

thanks for the welcome

sorry GF built the town hall, she had mentioned she was dyslexic didn't really believe until it is now proof , puts a little twist on the build I now think,

Big sign on emporium had some how got knocked over, & the axe think is lost / wasn't in the box on building.
