Yeah, i think R2 wasn't the thing he wanted to fall down the stairs and break into pieces.

I'd put him back in the box and build something else first, it can be boring doing the same model twice in a row.

I was fking fuming when I dropped R2. All that work wasted. So not funny!!!

Thankfully the fktard didn't stay too long.

Anyway R2 is now re-built up to the the start of bag 4.

Got to say that so far it's a very boring build & I am quite unimpressed at this point. Does it get an better? Hope so.

Starting to wish I had bought the Volvo digger in the group buy!

So i have built R2D2.....

What a disappointment.

I dont think i have ever been so under-whelmed by a Lego build or by the end result.

It just doesn't do anything at all too impress. It will be on fleabay before long as simply don't like it.

So what to build next I wonder?

Have a choice of the Millenium Falcon, the 4x 4 Crawler, the Recovery Truck (42008), the Unimog or the Crane (42009) from last years group buy.

Or should I buy the Camper Van??????

Get the camper van. It's an interesting build, looks great and is a lot cheaper than all the others you've mentioned.

All the others I mentioned are in the living room - I just can't decide which one to build & not sure i can justify spending another £80 on Lego after the waste of money AKA R2D2.

As for R2. Looked at it again this morning. Still extremely disappointed with the end result.

Without doubt the worst also kit I have ever bought. £150 for something that doesn't actually do anything.........

I thoroughly enjoyed my R2 build. I think it's a great display piece and I think it has plenty of functionality with various tools, the rotating head and the conversion from 2 to 3 legs.

You can fit LED lights to the head if you want - there's a kit on ebay

Agreed, the campervan is really good, and I suspect will be discontinued very soon.

If you want a challenge, build it "mirror image" so it's right hand drive with the opening side doors on the left....
