Star Trek: The Official Starship Collection
Discussion
I subscribed from issue 2. I have received everything apart from issues 2 and 3! The first time I rang they said they were in the post. The second time I rang they said they were out of stock. I emailed next time and they said they are still out of stock, but they have my order and will send them when they are back in stock.
I might have to get 2 and 3 on ebay while there are still some around, though they are quite expensive now

With all the QC/delivery issues, I'm glad I stuck to wasting money on 1/18 scale car models. Shame
To be fair, All of mine have been good with the exception of one Defiant and one Equinox. Everything else is spot on. The JJprise has been the worst for consistency, loads report poor build and finishes, I've picked up three (one to keep, two to ebay) and they are all spot on perfect. My Issue 16 and 17 had an attempted delivery yesterday but didn't get them until this morning.
The Dauntless is brilliant, again, so pleased to see one off ships rarely seen again being featured.
The Ferengi D'Kora has never been one of those designs I've been interested in, a bit like the Solar Sailor coming up next month, I'll get them as a subscriber, but its not something I can get excited about. Thankfully there are very few in the proposed collection that fit that description.

To be fair to eaglemoss I have had quite a few QC problems but when I have contacted them regarding this they have always been helpful and apart from issue 1 + 3 which are still both on back order I have received the replacements very promptly and all look to have been properly inspected before being sent outgeeks said:
The Marauder looks st! Also has anyone else got issues with theirs going into the holder? Mine doesn't flush fit like the others and falls out very easily!
Yep, I tested mine to take a quick snap and it wouldn't really sit at all. There is a way of fitting onto the 'head' of the ship, which some suggest is more secure, didn't make much of an improvement on mine, still doesn't sit very well. Good job the ship is too pig ugly to display eh. AndyWoodall said:

Yup if you fit the otherway round it does seem to fit better but then looks odd in the holder when sat next to the others, I think this one will go at the back where no one can really see it!geeks said:

I've only been buying the Starfleet ships, or the ones that interest me (the only other non-Starfleet ships I have are the Klingon D7 battle cruiser, the Dauntless and Jem'Hadar battle cruiser).
Massively disappointed. The first one I got, turned out it was broken when I got home, so had to trudge back into town for a replacement. Once I got the replacement out, my fears were confirmed - it is poor, very poor.
Too much plastic, not much detail and is very, very fragile. The stand obscures the actual ship, as well.

Yep, my subs copy of Issue 18 and 19 arrived on Weds...
Stargazer is fantastic, although mine came with its lower nacelles broken off, all super glued up now though and its fine.
The Solar Sailor is a bit lame, but looks ok ish displayed. Extremely fragile though, not a highlight of the collection and up there with the Borg Sphere for dullness.

Got my 2 through the post on Thursday too, oddly my GF really liked the solar sail thing.
Love my stargazer, as I like quad nacelle stuff. My replacement Dauntless arrived within 10 days after asking for replacement on facebook due to missing nacelle
Loving all the Federation stuff building up on my shelf, Klingon Negh'ver mega cruiser next month

My issue 20 & 21 arrived today, bang on time as seems to be usual now. Will take a pic later.
Enterprise E is fine, bit small due to it being a long design, some good details but lacks the crispness of some of the other sculpts due to it being a large ship in a small scale, if that makes sense.
The Klingon Attack Cruiser is a good one, great size, solid, looks pretty faithful to my eyes.
In other Star trek ship news, I got the latest Art Asylum/DST Starship Legend, the USS Excelsior. Again, will post pics but its absolutely brilliant, prefer it to the Enterprise B from last year, looks perfect to me.
