Emails dropping in smile

Keep an eye on this thread, as when we send a mail out we'll mention it here to ensure everyone gets it. We had a few hitting spam filters last year!

Looks like a great deal, but shame the thing is so expensive in the first place - I know you get a lot of motors, but how can it be more than the Unimog with all the pneumatic stuff?!

I just joined up, but aware I am not eligible for the deal - I actually stubbled across PH (this time) while looking for a deal on the crane! I've joined up primarily to go after Technic 2015 deals :P though to be fair I end up lurking on PH for various different reasons in the past anyway!

The set is out in August, and payment will be a bit before then. I'll confirm in due course.

At present we are just seeking clarification from interested parties so we can gauge the numbers to order!

Sadly, Lego have put their prices up - that's the first thing. In addition to this there is actually a licencing agreement (as there was with the Unimog) and this will affect the price.

I seem to recall the RRP of the Unimog was around £150, and when the Crane came out it was about the same.

It's not cheap, but for a launch day deal that's delivered to the door it's pretty good.

Stick around PH - you might like it. smile

Cheers!

For sure the deal is fantastic. Hopefully I can pick it up next year for less (like the crane to some degree). However the unimog is worth a fortune now so if this goes the same way... !

There's a great video review of the set here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30SzWOjPW0Y

Looks like it has quite a few motors and stuff, guess that helps push the price up.

Sent my "yes please" email biggrin

He's a bit of a legend in Technic circles... he wrote a book about it (literally). If you skip to about 15 mins theres a bit of info on how it steers etc. In summary though: he likes it.

ROLL UP! GET YOUR DETAILS IN, IF YOU'RE INTERESTED!

OK guys, Russy has been hard at work and has come up with some numbers.

The RRP of the Volvo kit is £169.99, but the PH delivered price (UK) will be £145.00

If you are still interested in the group buy, could you please send us an email at this address - legotechnicgroupbuy@gmail.com - please note it is different to last year!

We need to know:
  • Your PH name
  • Your real name
  • Where you are based (UK or elsewhere)
  • The number of sets you want in the group buy

We still hope to add other bundle offers, but will confirm in the near future.

This is a deal for PHers only - anyone who has been a member of the forums for 6 months or more can join this group buy.

Podie - I will reply with details.

Just need to find somewhere to have the kit delivered to avoid swmbo seeing the box arrive.

I can sneak it in & hide it amongst the other unbuilt Technic kits that are living in the dining room at the moment when she is out!

I too have been 'banned' from purchasing anymore Lego.

fk that!!!!!
