The making of a miniature replica of a MGC GT that drove the Tulpenrallye in 2014. No pics of the real car unfortunately.

The base model by AUTOArt:

The real car has no bumpers. So new a new front an rear valance are made:

The two colour paint:

Fitted the lights, chrome trim, quick fastners and a couple of air vents.

Rebuilding the interior. Added a roll cage and a new steering wheel. The dash and seats are modified.

New wheels

Added the livery and mud flaps

Here is a miniature of a TVR Tuscan I modified for a friend.

The model should look a bit like this.

This auto sculpt of a TVR Vixen in scale 1:32 was the only model I could find to start from.

First the base needed to go.

Then made room for decent wheels and started on the wheel arch extenders.

And now with the decals and a bit of paint it doesn't look half bad.

Stunning work there!! Please excuse my ignorance as I am trying to get back into modelling after many years away but in your dioramas do you build from scratch all sets or can you buy the things like car ramps, tool boxes, etc and also did you make your wooden garage from scratch as well? Car garage dioramas are the thing that I most want to try my hand at....

The tools, lifts and jacks I buy from the web and then customize them.

The wooden garage is scratch build indeed.

Can I ask where you buy the tools, etc, is it from one website?

Nowhere special. Mostly if I need a model I look for small things to add to an order.

being a complete beginner at dioramas I was just wondering if there were any sites that you could recommend? I also reckon you could do a build thread on that beautiful wooden building of yours, I love it!!

The problem is that no one has any consistency in what they offer. I just google the parts I need (sometimes google-translate in German). So I cannot recommend any sites.

If you want to build a barn, just google "barn construction" and loads of ideas pop up.

Have fun!

Thanks!

Just before my holiday I started on this Fiat Dino Coupe. The real car.

The base model by BoS in scale 1:18 is a perfect match.

Now in the right colour and it suddenly start to look like the real Fiat Dino Coupe.

Making it more realisitic with a new steeringwheel, some badges and plates.
