The modified model car thread - pics
Discussion
The making of a miniature replica of a MGC GT that drove the Tulpenrallye in 2014. No pics of the real car unfortunately.
The base model by AUTOArt:
The real car has no bumpers. So new a new front an rear valance are made:
The two colour paint:
Fitted the lights, chrome trim, quick fastners and a couple of air vents.
Rebuilding the interior. Added a roll cage and a new steering wheel. The dash and seats are modified.
New wheels
Added the livery and mud flaps

Here is a miniature of a TVR Tuscan I modified for a friend.
The model should look a bit like this.
This auto sculpt of a TVR Vixen in scale 1:32 was the only model I could find to start from.
First the base needed to go.
Then made room for decent wheels and started on the wheel arch extenders.
And now with the decals and a bit of paint it doesn't look half bad.

Stunning work there!! Please excuse my ignorance as I am trying to get back into modelling after many years away but in your dioramas do you build from scratch all sets or can you buy the things like car ramps, tool boxes, etc and also did you make your wooden garage from scratch as well? Car garage dioramas are the thing that I most want to try my hand at....
