The modified model car thread - pics
Discussion
A lucky guy found his car in miniature under the Xmas tree.
This is the real car
I started with two models from Ricko, a regular 147 (for the interior, lights and windows) and de GTA racer.
The front spoiler on the GTA racer is too big. Removing it is easier said than done.
And finally, after respraying the interior, putting all the decals on and adding new wheels, it looks like this.

This is the real car and it is located in Indonesia. At first it seemed to be a Datsun 260 Z but after chacking the engine and chassis numbers it appeared to be a JDM Nissan Fairlady Z.
The police version of the Kyosho Nissan is used as a base model. It is already a RHD so that makes live easier.
Time to delete the flashlights and front wing missors and add a rear and front spoiler and airvents in the bonnet.
A bit of 40th anniversary Z metal grey.
And red upholstery
And Hayashi Street Wheels
Plates and decals to match the real car
The real Porsche 911 Targa
Minichamps made a perfect base model. Only a front spoiler and a whale tail to add.
The interior in several shades of white.
White gold metallic paint transforms the model completely.
The stance at the rear is still too high.
Back in the workshop the stance is lowered.
What are your thoughts? Thumbs up or down?

Thats awesome !I have bought all the bits to turn a regular two door into an RS2000 and in the colour scheme EXACTLY like this !
Question though for you, how did you bond the nose cone onto the front of the original one and did you use regular filler to smooth it all out?
