Hi all
I'm building a tamiya wild one kit and cannot get my steering to work at all.. Everything is connected: battery to speed control, speed controller to channel 2; servo to channel 1. Throttle is set up and works, but absolutely no response from the servo. It buzzes slightly, and resists turning - so there's power, but no response.

The servo plug can be plugged in both ways round to the receiver - could I have somehow blown the servo? Any other ideas???

No you won't of blown it. I can't remember which way they go off the top of my head but if the speedo is working it's the same way round as that.

Check your battery is charged.
With the power off does the steering move freely they should
When you turn on do the wheels centre they should
Check the wires from the servo and that the pins are seated correctly in the plug sometimes when you push the plug in the pins push out.

You probably just have a faulty servo. No big deal you can pick a cheap one up for £10 ish it's good to have a spare anyway.

What is the setup? Radio gear / servo / esc model.

With regards to plugs, all plugs should have negative wires (brown or black) nearest the right hand side (usually this is nearest the edge of the receiver itself)

Need to determine what voltage output the ESC is giving the receiver and whether it could be a BEC problem.

Further fiddling... I took the plugs out and moved ESC to channel 3 and servo to 2. Throttle tigger now moves servo. Great. Unplug and put back correctly ie throttle in 2, servo in 1, and the servo works. But the the throttle doesn't! So reset the throttle via the ESC as per setup instructions and... hey presto the throttle works and the steering doesn't. Grrrr! I

I've now tried to repeat the above and can only get the servo to work when plugged into ch 2...

I don't know what's going on!

Are you using digital radio gear? If so, might be worth binding it again?

Is it the standard TEU101/4-BK tamiya esc? Is the red bec plugged into the receiver power?
