The Hornet did die a horrible death though - the AA batteries that powered the servos shook loose and it headed across an A road and almost made it until it got hit by a bus

Just bought http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/123866/ for my 7 year-old son. All good so far. It's 1/18, so a bit smaller, but has the great advantage of a throttle 'dual rate', meaning you can slow it down, otherwise it's damn fast...
