Shell Lego models are back

Anyone looking for the start line and garage models? Got two of each spare and open to having a SAE and a couple of £ sent through for any of them.

Managed to get the filling station from the Shell at Hockley Heath, just off the M42. They still had a few others left, but probably not for long.

That's my local shell station too!

The other three that are also local, Shirley and Solihull etc also seem to have quite a few left.

I don't need them any more though as we now have two full sets,,and somehow 4 of the tankers too!

I filled up at the Shell at Hatton yesterday and found that they've stopped the promotion. I've got the full set but wanted one more each of the gantry and pit stop sets. May have to try Hockley Heath then...

Anyone know if there is a display case for this years collection? I have the one shown from last year, which I understand wasn't available in the UK.

Shell at Hockley Heath are cashing in on this promotion now.

Models are now £4.99 and they will sell you one of the display stands if you are willing to part with £60, as that is what they said someone paid for one "they" sold on ebay. I don't understand why people are willing to pay such nonsensical prices for this sort of stuff.

There is a Shell garage just outside Cheltenham who have dozens of the models in the shop.

They will not sell them individually - they are bagged up with all seven in the bag.

The cost? £4.49 per model..........

My local Shell garage will sell them individually and they're €7 each.

That's about what they cost anyway given I was paying roughly 10p more per litre than usual plus the £2 each time.....maybe less in fact!

My local garage said that Shell had given the OK to sell off all stock. Barcodes were centrally updated and the models are all now £4.49. There must still be thousands of sets available for sale. Makes the eBay prices all the more confusing.
