Hi All

Ive posted here if that's ok as had zero response in regional forum!

I'm looking to purchase a 'Carrera' slot car track for my son but have no idea which one to buy should we wish to extend it with extra track etc....

I'm talking about scale, which one is better to buy, parts, extras more readily available????

Cheers

If you search for previous slot car, scalextric threads then there are a few which include carerrra.

This question was previously asked and I think that most responses were that a digital scalextric allows speed to be switched between fast and slow.

The carerra sets were less small child friendly.

My son was looking for a marin themed slot car set, but at 4 years old I obvioulsy would rather buy him a scalextric set!

Thanks for the reply,

I did a search but I could not find the answer I was looking for,

The Carrera range offer the disney car character option which my boy is crazy about hence the reason of choice albeit should he wish to increase the size of track & options etc I was just wondering what is the best scale to purchase for this exact reason to save having to start afresh

scalextric do offer lightning mcqueen & francesco bertaloni, although not compatiable with digital but you could make them work if like soldering in the digital chip set up
