Haha! I do sometimes wonder.

The good thing about the ECX is that it's a pretty easy swap for brushless and it's LiPo ready too, which makes it easiersmile

It is great fun! I find i get bored of rc if i am on my own just driving up and down a field. Luckily a mate has also got one (traxxas slash 4wd brushless). Once you start doing jumps, racing around tracks or even courses you mark out in the woods, it becomes fun.

My suggestion would be to get one with a brushless motor and from a decent manufacturer. This way it will perform well so wont be boring and you can easily replace parts... which will break eventually. You will need to budget for lipo batteries and a charger.

Ages 8 to 80, 8000+ active racers nationwide, 200+ clubs..
You'd be amazed who you can bump into at a RC Car club, especially in the winter months when the bigger toys are having their off season!
